What is Immaculate about?
Immaculate follows the journey of an American nun as she joins a remote convent in the Italian countryside.
“However, her warm welcome quickly turns into a living nightmare when she discovers her new home harbours a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors,” reads the synopsis.
From the trailer, we see Cecilia in a confessional while she muses, “God saved me for a reason, but I’m still searching for what that reason is.”
Things take a rather dramatic turn when she finds out she’s pregnant – a baffling occurrence given the nuns’ vow of celibacy.
