Harry, meanwhile, has a huge grin on his face as he leans down and speaks softly to his son, and it's clear he's absolutely loving his new role as dad.
Dressed in a pastel blue romper paired with a white long-sleeved undershirt, little Archie is pretty much as adorable as you'd expect (um, dare we say it, maybe even more so?).
And in a move that takes ups his cuteness factor even more (what?!), the bub - who was born earlier this year, on May 6 - flashes the camera a big smile as the family-of-three turn the corner and make for the stairs, where their welcoming party await.
The new parents have had nothing but praise for their bundle of joy during his first official royal tour. Waseefa Majiet – a friend of the hosts Shaamiela and Ibrahim Samodien – told Hello magazine that Meghan "said that Archie was a good traveller... Harry said he slept on his chest almost 11 hours (during the flight)."
Nazli Ebrosss Fakier, who had also joined the royal couple for tea, added that Meghan said, "He's just really, really happy and an easy traveller. He's having a ball of a time, screaming and shouting."
"His dad couldn't stop talking about him being so happy here in Cape Town and he's also so happy to be here with his family in Africa, which he loves," Nazli added.
The duchess has sparked pregnancy rumours while on tour, with speculation that a second baby is on the way hitting fever pitch after reports surfaced earlier this week that the Duchess of Sussex sipped on water during a recent visit to a local pub, while Harry enjoyed a pint.
The trio were spotted at their local in Windsor - a pub called The Rose & Crown - which is just a 10-minute drive from their home at Frogmore Cottage. Pub-goers told TMZ that Harry knocked back a few beers, while Meghan kept it clean with water.
And now, UK betting company Ladbrokes has suspended bets on Meghan giving birth next year after a surge of bets in recent weeks, indicating that the British public has a hunch the former Suits actress is either pregnant or will be by next year.
“Harry and Meghan clearly want to add to their family sooner, rather than later, and we’re no longer taking bets on an arrival before 2020 is out,” said Alex Apati of betting company Ladbrokes.
