Ariana Grande has reportedly weighed in on the Taylor Swift-Scott Borchetta-Scooter Braun drama -and her response is surprising.
According to Refinery29, the pop-star posted an Instagram story expressing her confused feelings towards the idea of her music manager, Scooter Braun, being a manipulative bully.

“I would never support someone with the intentions of hurting another person. I spoke to him myself as soon as I heard.. I don’t mean to make this public or get involved but I’ve noticed mixed opinions where people used my name… please spread love. I’m so so sorry Tay. Ily. Stay strong”
However, some Ariana Grande fans are tweeting that the circulating screenshot of the Instagram story is fake.
This comes after Taylor penned a Tumblr post calling out Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records for denying her the ability to own her master recordings without producing more albums for the label first.
The country-pop star also expressed that she was “sad” and “grossed out” to learn that her own music would be bought by none other than Scooter Braun of Ithaca Holdings, who had recently acquired Big Machine Records.
Taylor accused Braun of bullying her, along with Justin Bieber and Kanye West when Kim Kardashian leaked a recording of a phone call between Taylor and Kanye.
Scott Borchetta has since attempted to refute Taylor’s claims on the Big Machine records website, stating that his offer provided her with the chance to own all of her own music.
Ariana remains conflicted on the issue as she considers the Ithaca Holdings executive “family,” and has often documented their friendship through Instagram posts.
However, in the wake of Taylor’s Tumblr post, Ariana deleted an Instagram story that celebrated Braun’s acquisition of Big Machine.
Other celebrities have been clearer about where they stand.
Longtime friend of Taylor, Todrick Hall tweeted that Scooter Braun was “an evil person who’s only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego.”
Selena Gomez’s mother reshared Taylor’s Tumblr post to her Instagram, and added this caption:
“Thank you for speaking out about this and teaching future young artist about protecting themselves.”
Halsey tweeted in a show of support of the country-pop star.
‘She deserves to own the painstaking labour of her heart. She has surpassed all expectations of what any artist is even capable of,’ Halsey added.
Iggy Azalea also tweeted this in support of Taylor:
“Telling someone about a deal days before it’s public means the deal was already done & she never had the opportunity to even make a bid to own her own work. These deals take months to negotiate in long form.”
According to Vulture, Nicki Minaj, Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna have all unfollowed Scooter Braun on Instagram.

However, Demi Lovato was singing a different tune.
“I have dealt with bad people in this industry, and Scooter is not one of them,” the pop star wrote in an Instagram story.
Braun’s wife, Yael Cohen Braun also came to his defense through an Instagram post.
“My husband is anything but a bully, he’s spent his life standing up for people and causes he believes in,” Yael wrote.
The drama continues to unfold, with Scooter Braun yet to respond.
