Has Bella Hadid had plastic surgery?

It is an often asked question, but supermodel-of-the-moment, Bella Hadid, has always denied ever having any cosmetic work done.

And while the Victoria’s Secret Model, 22, remains adamant she is au naturel, professional cosmetic surgeons have some doubts looking at Bella’s before and after pictures. The procedures Bella is believed to have had include rhinoplasty (nose job), Botox, dermal fillers and buccal fat pad removal.

In the good old days, celebrities could have nips and tucks in peace without countless side-by-side, before-and-after pictures springing up on feeds, forums and message groups where people could comment anonymously about “what so-and-so may or may not have had done”.

Beauty mogul Kylie Jenner, best known for her trout pout, is probably the star most talked about for her before and after transformation, she is followed closely by her curvaceous sisters – in particular Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian.

While in the fashion industry, the main person spoken about is Bella.

The 22-year-old catwalk queen is the younger sister of fellow global supermodel, Gigi Hadid. She was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Los Angeles, California to real-estate developer Mohamed Hadid from Palestine and Dutch model Yolanda Hadid.

She started modeling at the age of 16 and made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2014 for Desigual.

The following year she found herself walking for the likes of Tom Ford, Diane von Fürstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Jeremy Scott (she closed his show), and Chanel.

Her career was given an extra boost thanks to her high-profile relationship with Canadian singer, The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye), which started at the beginning of 2015. But they split in November 2016, and The Weeknd started dating singer Selina Gomez a month later.

But by October 2017, Selena and The Weeknd had split and he was seen back with Bella by April 2018. They broke up again earlier this year.

Bella has always denied she has had plastic surgery or injectables.

Last year, she told InStyle magazine that she is “scared” of going under the knife or having fillers injected.

“People think I got all this surgery or did this or that,” she said. “And you know what? We can do a scan of my face, darling. I’m scared of putting fillers into my lips. I wouldn’t want to mess up my face.”

After being accused of having a nose job and lip fillers by an Instagram troll shortly after, Bella replied: “Blessings to you sweetheart. Jealousy is a cry for help that I wish I could help you with.”

While her mother Yolanda, former reality star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, also denied either Bella or Giga have had work done when she was asked on Instagram.

“None of my children have never done fillers or Botox or put anything foreign in their bodies,” Yolanda replied. “They know better after seeing what I went through [lime disease].”

But before and after pictures of Bella have people questioning her claims.

A whole host of plastic surgeons online believe that Bella has had multiple cosmetic surgeries and tweaks.

Dr Tijion Esho of The Esho Clinic on London’s Harley Street has never worked on Bella, but in his expert opinion believes she had a rhinoplasty (nose job), Botox to lift her brows, dermal fillers to lift her cheekbones and plump her lips, and buccal fat pad removal to make her face look dramatically slimmer.

“Careful makeup can make a nose more streamlined – or even a non-surgical nose job with filler – but to achieve such refined changes to the nasal bridge and nasal tip means it’s much more likely to be surgical,” Dr Esho said.

He also added: “One of the main features to change the most has been the lips. Overtime theses have increased in both size, shape and definition through the possible use of dermal fillers.”

Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme, director of the Adonia Medical Clinic in London, revealed the procedures that could create a look like Bella, starting out with Botox.

She said: “The arch in the eyebrow might have been increased with Botox to open the eye.”

High cheek bones are key to a model look, and Dr. Ejikeme said: “Cheek bones enhanced by a more heart shaped face could be created with gentle filler.”

“You can’t underestimate what makeup, weight loss and time can do,” plastic surgeon Dr. James Marotta told Page Six. “Her face can appear more slender and angular as a result of being slightly older with weight loss and different makeup.”

But he added: “It is clear that she had rhinoplasty. Her upper eyelids appear more open and her brow arch has changed,” he said.

“Her face appears more slender, angular and less rounded. It could be the result of filler injections or facial plastic surgery.”
