Shes going to try for a child with her current partner Jay Sandtner.

Six years ago she was in a relationship with a different man and suffered two miscarriages after going through IVF, but Dye is adamant that she will give it one more shot with her frozen eggs, in an attempt to bring life to a baby with her supportive partner.

Its terrifying, but my womb will be hopefully be ready, she tells Pete Timbs on the Who Are You podcast about IVF.

Ill try again in the next three months.

I have endometriosis, so Im on a heavy hormone that they put on to shrink breast cancer. Its giving me moods lately; Ive been more of a basket case than I normally am.  Its not easy, but Im on that to get my uterus and womb all nice and mushy so it can accept an embryo, she explains.

But Dye has not given up hope, saying shes looked to other females in the spotlight who have gone on to produce healthy children.

There are so many stories of women my age that can carry. Look at Tania Zaetta – she just had twins! And Sonia Kruger – shes a big inspiration for me.

The Breakfast radio presenter for the Bianca, Mike & Bob show in Brisbane reveals that she believes she might find success this time around and while shes excited about the possibility of having her own child, she accepts the fate she will be dealt with no matter which way it turns out.

My eggs [I have] now would be crap. [But there are] eggs that I harvested from six years ago, so theres a very good chance that one of them would take, it wouldnt be using my fresh eggs now but hopefully my fresh womb will be nice and full.

At the moment, the radio producer and her partner Sandtner co-raise his daughter Maddy with her mother who Dye describes as gorgeous.

In hindsight, I’ve let go now. Im not holding on to it, Ive got a beautiful little family – if none of these eggs take, Ive actually made peace with it, she admits.

You can listen to 97.3’s Bianca, Mike & Bob every week day from 5.30 in Brisbane, or any time on the iHeartRadio app.

Its not an easy thing to do, but a lot of women have to do it, but I dont want to have regrets I want to be able to say I put all the eggs in, none of them worked for whatever the universe did not choose me to be a mother to my own child but Im going to mother [or] a Guardian for Maddie.

Asked if she thinks working on her 24-year-long radio and media career hindered her chance to have children earlier, Dye explains it was all about timing.

Im not going to say I put my career first but I guess I just had that kind of personality where I went where the work was and thus it was you’ve got to meet someone youve got to fall in love, workout if you want kids and that takes time.
