It’s been a massive year for Brittany Hockley, who still found time to step out on the AACTAs red carpet today.
Decked out in a Vera Wang dress also worn by Zendaya to the Emmys, with her long, dark locks worn on the side, Britt stopped for a quick chat with WHO, and made sure to address the change in her hair.
“I feel like I had a bit of a crisis, a midlife crisis, I’ve gone from long black, short blonde, long blonde, back to long dark but I think I’ve found my groove, I’m back to brunette, which is what I’ve always been,” she laughed.
“It feels so good to be back out, to not have my mask on for a hot second, just to be dressed up. I feel like it’s been a really long time,” she reflected.
Brittany’s podcast, Life Uncut, which she hosts with friend and fellow Bachelor alum Laura Byrne, recently won the Listener’s Choice Award at the Australian Podcast Awards.
The pair have also announced they’ll be expanding the podcast to radio, beginning a Life Uncut show that will air on Saturdays.
“The podcast is just going amazingly, we just won Listener’s Choice again for two years in a row, so that’s really incredible,” she said.
“We have a really new, exciting show on KIIS FM coming up, but yeah, I think TV and entertainment – it’s always been something that I’ve been really passionate about, so never say never,” she said coyly when asked if the pair would consider TV.
“Laura’s very much in control, she likes to know everything that’s going on, and I’m very last minute, very like ‘you know, it’ll work out’,” she said of her working relationship with Laura.
“I think we really complement each other!”
After such a huge year for the podcast, and one Brittany spent travelling a fair bit with her partner, tennis player Jordan Thompson, she also divulged that she was keen for a bit of a break.
“I’m going up to Queensland [for Christmas] and just spending it with my family. We’re getting together for the first time in probably a year,” Brittany said.
“I’m just really excited to have some down time.”
