Bruno Mars concertgoers looking forward to his support act Dua Lipa have been left disappointed as the English-Albanian singer has been forced to cancel her performances due to emergency dental surgery.
The ‘New Rules’ singer who has been opening for Bruno Mars during his 24K Magic World Tour in Australia has cancelled her appearances supporting Mars in Brisbane on Wednesday March 14 and Thursday March 15.
“I’m so sorry to have to cancel some of my support shows with Bruno,” Dua Lip said in a statement. “I’ve been performing with an awful pain due to my wisdom teeth and as advised by my dentist and oral surgeon I have to have them imminently removed.
“I have been enjoying this tour so much and am upset that life has gotten in the way but hopefully I’ll have a speedy recovery and make it back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding xx.”
The ‘IDGAF’ singer’s headline show in Sydney on Wednesday March 21 has not been axed at this stage.
Bruno Mars concert promoters say that Dua Lip will get back to the tour as soon as possible, but it is not yet known whether she will definitely appear with the singer when he arrives in Sydney this weekend.
