"I would say I am happy to invest my time in to sharing my life with someone but settling down, I've settled down before and I am definitely not ready for that yet."
While the details surrounding how the pair met are still unclear, Emily has recently been spotted out and about on the Sydney social scene.
It's believed the stunning blonde is in her early twenties and earned her media and communications degree from the University of Wollongong.
Most recently, Carlin shot down speculation he was seeing wellness influencer Andi Lew, claiming she was simply a good mate.
"There was speculation about Andi and I because we were seen in Bondi together one time," he told Confidential.
"We aren't dating, we are just very good friends."
Despite his high profile relationship with Bachelorette beauty Angie not going the distance, Carlin says he has no regrets over his reality TV experience.
"It was a great experience. I think what Angie and I had was real for sure. We had our differences… we gave it a crack and it didn't work at the end of the day but that is okay," he said.
The pair are still in touch and chat "every now and then" to clear the air.
Angie was linked to MAFS star Ryan Gallagher earlier this year, but remains single, telling Who in an exclusive chat: "Not ready for love yet but maybe next year."
After months of split speculation, Angie and Carlin confirmed they had parted ways at the start of June by releasing separate statements.
