And every time a celeb changes their hair, it gives us a whole new look to consider as we think about our next great cut and colour. Do we want to channel Lucy Hale’s ever-chic bobs? What about Sienna Miller’s classic curtain bangs? Or Gemma Chan’s dreamy caramel highlights?
Whatever the vibe, we want to know what’s in style in the world of Hollywood hair. And we’re sure you do, too. Scroll on through to see some of our favourite Australian and international celebrity hair transformations of the year so far.
Brooke Blurton
The star of The Bachelorette Australia is the latest to debut a new look in the New Year, showing off her transformation on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Some well needed TLC for my hair and for my soul,” she wrote.
Having just broken up with her season winner, Darvid Garayeli, Brooke did what many of us do when moving on from a split: she got bangs. Specifically curtain bangs, the low-maintenance face-framing version of a fringe.
She also took her natural brown hair to new depths, covering up honey blonde highlights with a darker chocolate colour. We’re loving the new look!
Hilary Duff
Not only is Hilary able to play two characters at once (hello, Lizzie McGuire movie) – she’s also able to magically grow her hair! Well, she got extensions. The star kept her signature blonde hair colour through her latest transformation, simply adding great lengths to her tresses for a stunning result.
Doing press for her new series How I Met Your Father, Hilary shared a snap of her updated look and called it her “giant mane.”
Fellow Disney kid Miley Cyrus commented, poking fun at Hilary for stealing her style from Hannah Montana. “That’s where my wig went!” she wrote of the lengthy locks.
Emily Ratajkowski
As the saying goes: New Year, new you, new ‘do. Well, that’s how the saying should go. Emily embodied the sentiment by debuting a new fringe with a caption that simply read: “twenty twenty two.”
