Since postponing her previous world tour, fans have continued to hold out hope for Celine's return to the stage, however, the singer shared that she can't yet envision a set timeline for her next performance.
"For four years, I've been saying to myself that I'm not going back [on stage], that I'm ready, that I'm not ready. As things stand, I can't stand here and say to you, 'Yes, in four months.' I don't know. My body will tell me."
"It's morally hard to live from day to day... I'm working very hard and tomorrow will be even harder... but there's one thing that will never stop and that's the will. It's the passion. It's the dream. It's the determination."
Celine's latest comments come two months after she shared an update to social media, writing, "Trying to overcome this auto-immune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible."
“I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!”
Alongside the caption, the singer posted a photo of herself alongside her three children; René-Charles Angélil, 23, and 13-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.
In December 2023, Celine's sister shared a heartbreaking health update on the Canadian star's ongoing battle with stiff-person syndrome.
Speaking to Canadian outlet 7 Jours, Claudette revealed that her sister had recently lost control over her muscle function.
"She works hard, but she has no control over her muscles. What makes me sad is that she was so disciplined," Claudette shared.
Claudette also shared that despite her diagnosis, her family are still hopeful that she will one day return to the stage.
"There are some who have lost hope because it is a disease that is not known... Vocal cords are muscles, but so is the heart. That's what gets to me. Because it's a one-in-a-million case, scientists don't have that much research on the topic."
In August 2023, Claudette previously shared an update on Celine's condition, telling Le Journal de Montreal that the singer's medical team has been unable to find "any medicine that works."
"I honestly think that she mostly needs to rest. She always goes above and beyond. She always tries to be the best and top of her game... At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It's important to listen to it," Claudette stated.
