Not many people can get away with being known around the world by just one name, but of course Cher is one of them.
The iconic singer and actress, who is currently in Australia to perform at the annual Sydney Mardi Gras on March 3, is so popular that you don’t even need to hear her full name to know who she is.
But did you know that ‘Cher’ isn’t actually her real name? The ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ singer was actually born Cherilyn Sarkisian, legally changing it to Cher in 1978.
