A new report claims Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and girlfriend Dakota Johnson have split.
The Sun reports the 42-year-old musician is telling pals he is single.
‘There was talk of engagement but now he says they have gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone,’ says a source.
The source continued: ‘Chris and Dakota were very easygoing and always seemed really happy together.’
The pair were first spotted on a sushi date in mid-October 2017.
Martin was previously married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow who famously announced their split in a post to Gwyneth’s Goop blog titled “Conscious Uncoupling” and the term quickly transformed into a colloquial phrase.
Chris and Gwyneth still parent their two children, Apple, 14, and Moses, 13, together.
Paltrow recently wed writer, director and producer, Brad Falchuk, and said their vows in front of 70 of their friends and family.
