Gogglebox star Leon Bernicoff has died aged 83, Channel 4 have confirmed.
Bernicoff and his wife June were one of the first couples on UK edition of the show in 2013.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sad news that after a short illness Gogglebox’s Leon Bernicoff passed away in hospital earlier today.” Channel 4 said in a statement.
Leon and June, from Liverpool, were together for 60 years after meeting at a teacher-training college in 1955. He is survived by June, two daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren.
