With new music on the horizon, Adele has begun to slowly open up to the world again, discussing what we can expect from her new album.

The notoriously private singer sat down for her first profile in years, with Vogue, which was released last week.

As with any classic Adele album, it seems as though it will take focus on the men in her life – but mostly this time it will be for her son, Angelo.

Adele famously separated from her partner, Simon Konecki some years ago now, in between 25 and her latest project, which proved to be a confusing time for their now nine-year-old son.

“My son has a lot of questions. Really good questions, really innocent questions, that I just don’t have an answer for,” she revealed.

“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness.

“It made him really unhappy at times, and that’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal,” she told Vogue of the divorce.

Although there seems to be a lot of sadness there, Adele’s observations are still incisive, and we can expect that to come across in the album.

In a new statement on Instagram, Adele has revealed the new album will entail “absolute mess and turmoil” – sure to wreck her fans emotionally. She also confirmed her album will be dropping on November 19.

“I was nowhere near where I’d hoped to be when I first started [30] nearly three years ago,” she wrote. “Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly – willingly even – throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil.”

Continuing on to say she’s learned a lot of “blistering truths” about herself, Adel wrote that she’s “finally found my feeling again. I’d go so far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”

Adele says the album has been her “ride or die” during “the most turbulent time in my life” – likening it to a close friend.

“I’ve painstakingly rebuilt my house and my heart since then and this album narrates it.”

“After going through a divorce, my requirements are sky-high. There’s a very big pair of shoes to fill,” Adele also told Vogue.

However, Adele might have found the person to fill them.

Adele recently debuted her relationship with Rich Paul, one of the biggest sporting agents in the NBA.

“I did date before Rich, but they hated it,” she said of former partners.

“They’d find it stressful being out or seen with me, which meant that I guarded all of it beyond.

“He’s not frazzled by it at all. It feels like it’s consistent and considerate enough that I don’t care who knows,” she said.

However, as the album has been three years in the making any Rich-inspired content might have to wait for the next album.

It does seem, though, that Adele is ready to share some answers to the many questions the public has about her seismic divorce via the new project, which is expected very soon.

The first single, Easy on Me, will land on October 15, while the album 30, will be released on November 19.
