But the message of ‘LEAVE YOUR HAIR ALONE’ isn’t getting through to a lot of people during this lockdown period, especially celebrities.
Bachelor star Jarrod Woodgate already sported a blonde ‘do, but decided to go even brighter with a home-bleach job. And boy, did it go horribly wrong.
The 34-year-old vineyard manager and girlfriend Sam Royce documented bleaching his hair while at home on Wednesday, and we don’t think either of them expected the bright orange outcome.
Jarrod shared some hilarious before and after photos on Instagram, admitting that his aim was to look like a ‘silver fox’.
The outcome, however, was more like Eminem, which Sam hilariously pointed out when she added ‘will the real Slim Shady please stand up’ lyrics to a photo of Jarrod’s disastrous hair.
Before unveiling his hair, Jarrod admitted to his girlfriend, and Bachelor housemate Renee Barret, he was nervous he wouldn’t pull off the look.
“I’m kind of panicking because all day they have been talking so much smack about how concerned they are,” he said.
“And they have been making me very nervous about it.”
The girls later trolled Jarrod’s new look, with Renee calling him a “big juicy apricot”.
Jarrod has been living with his new girlfriend Sam Royce in the Northern Territory for the past five weeks. He arrived only days before borders were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The reality-vet told Nine Honey this week that he’s enjoying living with her, admitting it would be “hard to leave her” when he returns to his family vineyard in Victoria.
“She is my forever and I see more of a future now than ever with this one. We’re both very happy,” Jarrod said.
In fact, Jarrod recently proposed to Sam… with a $79 dollar ring.
In the sweet clip posted by Bachelor star Renee Barratt last week, the vineyard manager presents Sam with a small ring box.
Sam later shared a picture of the silver ring, which encased a white cowrie shell.
“I have the best boyfriend in the world,” she captioned the post, followed by a love heart face emoji. The silver band is called the Girl of the Ocean Ring, from Embella Jewellery, a Yamba shop specialising in ‘bohemian style jewellery’ and costs $79.
“Sh*t proposal Jarrod,” Renee captioned her video of Jarrod giving Sam the ring, perhaps indicating that Jarrod wasn’t serious about popping the question.
Jarrod was previously dating Bachelor In Paradise co-star Keira Maguire on and off, finally calling it quits in August 2019.
In 2018, Jarrod told us exclusively that he could not cope with Keira’s Instagram obsession.
“Her Instagram following is overwhelming and it was taking over our relationship. She’s purely Instagram-focused and that takes up a lot of time.”
