Darren has publicly discussed his plans for marriage with his former long-term girlfriend, telling New Idea in 2017 that he refused to tie the knot in Australia until same-sex marriage had been legalised.
Who is Darren McMullen dating?
While the actor has yet to comment on his recent relationship status, some have speculated that Darren is potentially in a relationship with Luxe Listings buyer Gina Karsay after being spotted attending the Sydney premiere of The Artful Dodger in November 2023.
Although the pair have not shared any photos together previously, Gina appears to have holidayed with Darren to Europe in August 2023, with Darren tagging her alongside friends in his holiday snaps on Instagram.

Crystal Reed (2013-2019)
Darren McMullen’s most recent public relationship was with former Teen Wolf star Crystal Reed.
The couple reportedly first crossed paths while on a night out, with Darren telling CLEO, “[Crystal] picked me up in a bar actually. She walked by and just looked at me and smiled. I went, ‘Hey,’ and she goes, ‘Hey.’ I was just like oh my god, she took my breath away.”
“I’m not after a girlfriend so much. At this stage, I’m after a life partner. I don’t really want to waste my time with someone who is just filling time.”
Throughout their six-year relationship, Darren and Crystal largely kept their romance out of the public eye, however, the Scottish television personality did share that the couple had discussed the topic of starting a family.
“We do want a lot of kids. I was always worried about being an old, geriatric dad trying to kick the soccer ball with my son, but I think with modern technology, it’s given us a little more breathing room,” he told New Idea in 2017, adding that the couple had postponed their plans for children “until we get our careers where we want them first.”
In early 2019, Crystal and Darren sadly parted ways, with Darren returning to Australia from their former home in Los Angeles to take part in the television reboot Seachange.
“[After my breakup] it was a difficult time, but everything happens for a reason, and I try not to focus on the negative. It was a wonderful time she shared together and I wouldn’t give any of it back. We had phenomenal times and I’ll never forget that. We remain incredibly close,” Darren previously told WHO.

Prior to Darren’s long-term relationship with Crystal Reed, the former The Voice Australia host was romantically linked to fellow The Voice Australia star Delta Goodrem.
While the duo attempted to keep their rumoured romance out of the limelight, Delta and Darren were spotted kissing at a Lady Gaga concert, which led many to believe they were in a serious relationship.
Speaking on the rumours, Darren told New Idea that he and Delta were “never in a confirmed relationship,” and that the pair “remained good friends.”
Delta also addressed the speculation at the time, stating, “I didn’t realise I had to announce anything officially when I spend time with somebody, but I really enjoy [Darren’s] company. He’s a close friend of mine.”
