After rising to fame as one of the stars of Disney’s Descendants, Dove Cameron has continued to pursue her successful career in music; crossing paths with the frontman of Italian rock band Maneskin, Damiano David, shortly after his 2021 Eurovision Song Contest win.
After keeping their musical romance under wraps for many months, the couple finally confirmed their relationship at the 2024 Grammy Awards, with fans of the couple taking to social media to obsess over the new music power-couple.

Who is Dove Cameron dating?
Dove Cameron is currently dating Maneskin frontman, Damiano David.
Although it appears the pairing may have come out of the blue, fans of both Damiano and Dove have been keeping a close eye on the couple’s relationship rumours since Damiano revealed that Dove was the most famous person in his DMs during a December 2022 interview with Vanity Fair.
Speaking on their early relationship in June 2024, Dove revealed to Cosmopolitan, “The first time we met was at the 2022 VMAs and his band and I were up for the same award. You just run into different artists backstage and when I met them, I don’t think I even spoke to Damiano.”
Taking home the win in the Best New Artist category, Dove shared that Damiano’s team later approached her to open for Maneskin on tour, however, the couple did not cross paths again until the 2023 VMAs.
“When we had met before, he was in a very different space and I was too, so we didn’t register each other at all in that way,” said Dove, adding that Damiano later invited her to attend the band’s afterparty.
“He’s a Capricorn, so he was very much like, ‘Okay, these are my intentions.’ It was super honorable. He’s like a 1950s gentleman.”
While neither Dove nor Damiano have revealed exactly when they first began their romance, rumours began to circulate amongst fans after Dove was spotted at a Maneskin show in September 2023, with the singer sharing a video of Damiano to her Instagram Stories.
The Descendants star was then spotted attending another Maneskin gig in October, with Damiano and Dove photographed attending the band’s afterparty together.
In November 2023, Dove travelled with Damiano to Brazil and was photographed by fans amongst the crowd at Maneskin’s South American shows. The pair were also photographed leaving their hotel in Sao Paolo together before heading out for a romantic seaside lunch.
Following many months of speculation, Damiano and Dove appeared to finally confirm their romance during Maneskin’s Australian tour, with the duo being photographed kissing on Sydney’s Bondi Beach before sharing an affectionate walk along the water.
After taking a step back from the spotlight throughout early 2024, Dove and Damiano reignited fan fervour around their new relationship on February 4 2024, when they debuted their romance on the red carpet of the 66th Grammy Awards.
In May 2024, the couple debuted their rock ‘n’ roll romance at their first Met Gala, with the couple both wearing a custom floral-inspired look designed by Glenn Martens for Diesel.
