After winning the U.S. Open in 2021, British tennis star Emma Raducanu has become one of the sport’s biggest rising stars.
Becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam since 1977, Emma has continued to dominate on the court, rising to world #10 in July 2022.
After suffering from a string of injuries, forcing her into a brief hiatus from the sport, fans turned their focus to Emma’s life away from the court, including her relationship with a certain billionaire.
But alas, it’s believed Raducanu and Carlo Agostinelli have split, after she deleted all traces of the finance scion from her Instagram page.
Is Emma Raducanu single?
Yes, it looks like it.
Raducanu and Agostinelli were first spotted together on each other’s Instagram accounts as early as May 2023, with rumours of their romance building in September 2023 when they were photographed walking arm-in-arm at Paris Fashion Week.
While the couple never spoke of their relationship publicly, they did share glimpses into their life together on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Agostinelli has shared a number of heart warming photos of the tennis ace with his mother, Dior PR representative Mathilde Favier, and grandmother, with Raducanu regularly featuring on his sister Heloise’s social media.
But after less than a year, their social media love dance was over. “Emma has 2.4million followers on Instagram but Carlo is no longer one of them,” a source told The Sun in June.
“It seems their relationship has run its course.
Who is Carlo Agostinelli?
Twenty-three-year-old Carlo Agostinelli is a Stanford University football player and former head boy of the elite Harrow School in London, England.
He is also the son of billionaire Robert Agostinelli, who generated his fortune as the chairman and co-founder of Rhône Group – a private equity firm.
What’s next for Emma Raducanu?
The star’s full focus is on the US Open post Agostinelli.
“I just play so much better when I’m happy and putting my personality out there,” Raducanu told Sky Sports in July. “I think I’ve been playing a lot freer in the last month.
Being single seems to have put a spring in the 21-year-old’s step. “I have been expressing myself, I’ve been fighting and there has been a lot of passion, I’ve been feisty.
“And that’s me. I’m really tenacious and gritty,” she continued. “I think in the past I was always playing a role and sometimes I wasn’t enjoying certain moments freely and carefree.”
