Were all those rumours about Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell just a distraction from the Hollywood Hearthrob’s new romance? That’s what some fans are thinking after noticing some not-so-subtle clues linking Glen and Tate together.
After months of denying *those* rumours about himself and Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney, Glen Powell may have just let the cat out of the bag about his latest relationship – and his dog Brisket is the one to blame.
Are Glen Powell and Tate McRae Dating?
Internet sleuths first began linking the pair after the 20-year-old singer posted a seemingly innocent photo to her Instagram stories in January 2024.
In the snap, Tate who appears to be at a gym, is pictured with a dog. Although she didn’t tag anyone in the snap, she did include the caption; “This dog loved me today.”
The one and only celebrity dog account @hotbrisket then reposted the same story, confirming he was the dog in question, who you guessed it, belongs to 35 year old Glen Powell.
We know…it’s a bit of a stretch right? Just because two celebrities appear to be at the same gym and are bonding over an adorable dog does not mean they are dating.
But wait there’s more.
Once fans began thinking through the possibility of a budding relationship with Glen and Tate, they quickly re-discovered an interview the American actor did with Cosmopolitan alongside Sydney in December 2023.
The pair make an “In and Out List” for 2024, taking turns to name things that are ‘in’ for the new year and those that are ‘out’.
And lo and behold, Glen’s first ‘in’ for 2024 – Literally Tate McCrae.
You have to admit that’s slightly suspicious right? Glen himself doesn’t feel the need to expand his answer, jumping into his next ins and outs, but Sydney quips “I introduced Glen to Tate.”
Friendly Dogs and Cosmo TikToks aside, fans have also noticed the pair follow each other on Instagram, however, there isn’t any hard proof the pair are really dating – just that they seem to be good friends, or mutual acquaintances at the least.
The pair have not made any comments on the latest rumours, which come almost a year after Glen split from his girlfriend Gigi Paris.
