Kendall’s Killer Diet: How Does She Do It?

Kendall Jenner has one of the most recognisable bodies in the fashion industry. Achieving this is no easy feat, it definitely takes a lot of hard work and discipline to maintain her Victoria’s Secret-ready figure! So, how does she do it? 

The short answer is that she eats a loose Paleo diet that consists mostly of lean protein and lots of fruits and veggies. The long answer? Well, read on to find out the ins and outs of Kendall Jenner’s diet for yourself!

Who Is Kendall Jenner?

Kendall is one of the six uber-famous Kardashian-Jenner siblings, who are all members of what is perhaps America’s most famous family (as if you didn’t already know). She is the resident supermodel of the bunch, having walked for some of the biggest fashion brands in the world (Vera Wang, Chanel, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, and Versace among others). She was also crowned the world’s highest-paid model according to Forbes back in 2017.

What Does Kendall Eat?

Maintaining your bikini body isn’t easy, and it isn’t any easier for a Victoria’s Secret model.  An aspiring model must go to great lengths monitoring his or her food intake to make sure no calorie goes to waste. As such, Kendall Jenner’s diet is mostly composed of all-natural foods that are densely packed with nutrients to get her through her very busy days. No fad diets here (sorry keto believers)!

Now Kendall is (surprisingly) still human like the rest of us. She has a bunch of favourites that sometimes sneak their way into her daily meal plan, just another sign that everyone should stop being so hard on themselves. She shares on her app: Here’s what will forever and always make my list: Twix, Justin’s Peanut Butter, chips and guac, and hummus and carrots. See, pretty simple—just feed me and I’m ready to go!”

The Jenner Diet

More or less, you probably already have an idea of what kinds of food to favour and avoid (say goodbye to processed food), but we’ve come up with a short list to get you started on what kinds of food Kendall looks for when she’s feeling the need to snack!

Hummus

If you’re not yet familiar hummus is a fairly simple dip or spread mainly made up of chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. It’s easy to make (it takes only about 10 minutes) and is really yummy too! A cup of this stuff is also only gonna run you about 166 calories, leaving lots of room for some toast or carrot sticks on the side.

Frozen Yogurt

Kendall is a huge fan of frozen yogurt. The young model gushed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar: I’m also obsessed with frozen yogurt. I could eat it every day, but I aim for twice a week to treat myself. I usually get the classic Tart flavour from Go Greek.” If that isn’t a sign to get yourself a cup (or three) of frozen yogurt, then we don’t know what is. There are even options for those vegans who avoid dairy!

Pasta (And Other Crazy Carbs)

Surprisingly, Kendall also gets her fill of indulgent treats every now and then. When she isn’t being healthy and having her usual lunch of lean chicken and brown rice, Kendall admits that she loves filling herself up with junk food. But I love everything unhealthy,” she said. “Pizza, fried chicken, everything” she divulges in an interview with Byrdie. Watch her demolish a stack of pancakes in the video below.

You can even try one of Kendall’s favourite go-to dishes: pasta with peas! It’s super easy to make and Kendall says she could eat it for every meal. 

Detox Tea

Now if you follow the Kardashians, then you must be familiar with their favourite brands of detox tea. Kendall reveals to E! News: “I usually start my day off with a cup of detox tea. I have like 12 cups a day.

One of Kendall’s fans actually tried the Kardashian approved Fit Tea for 14 days and found that it worked to make her feel lighter and less bloated than usual. This is most likely because of the tea’s ingredients having the ability to speed up the body’s metabolic rate. Keep in mind however that this tea isn’t a substitute to a good diet and exercise and is still somewhat controversial in the scientific community.

Kendall Jenner’s Workout

Kendall is very outspoken about her shaky relationship with cardio. I hate cardio. I’d rather just stand there and lift some weights than run in place. But I’ll do it! she shares with a laugh in that same interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She prefers working on toning her abs or sculpting her butt, which translates into lots of planks and squats. Love Yourself

Perhaps it’s time to listen to Kendall’s final beauty secret (and no it isn’t her popular egg white face mask): getting enough sleep. She divulges her secret in an interview with E! News: My beauty secret for fashion week is just getting a good amount of sleep. I feel like I at least need about seven hours, eight hours of sleep to function.

Now it is important to remember that genetics play a very significant role in dictating how our bodies look. We’re not saying Kendall doesn’t deserve any credit for her efforts to look good, but a healthy body looks different for everyone. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to make sure you love and take care of yourself. Remember to do what makes you feel good, even if it means having a little extra pizza.
