After months of speculation, The Kid LAROI has confirmed his new romance with fellow pop singer Tate McCrae.
Making their relationship Instagram-official to celebrate Tate’s 21st birthday, The Kid LAROI shared a snap of the couple sharing a kiss alongside the caption, “happy 21st birthday you make me better! I love yoooouuu @tatemcrae.”
While the new couple have yet to comment any further on their relationship, their hard-launch comes after almost one year of romance rumours between the couple, with speculation beginning to surface after Tate was spotted by fans wearing a t-shirt that supposedly belonged to the Australian rapper.
Despite keeping much of their relationship under wraps, The Kid LAROI did previously hint that he was in a relationship – mentioning his “girlfriend” for the first time at his show in Dublin in April 2024.
“I need everybody in here to sing this as loud as they can because my girlfriend’s here tonight, and I don’t want to look lame,” he told the audience, with fans quickly turning to stare at Tate watching in the crowd.
Speaking to Zane Lowe in early 2024, Tate briefly commented on her professional relationship with The Kid LAROI, sharing, “He’s so in love with music… Even talking to him, I really admire him. I just think he’s an unreal artist.”
Prior to her relationship with the 20-year-old rapper, Tate was most recently linked to Anyone But You star Glen Powell.
Fans first linked Tate and Glen in January 2024 after Tate was photographed with Glen’s dog Brisket while training at the Alo Gym in Los Angeles.
While it appears that Tate and Glen’s relationship wasn’t anything more than a fun bit of TikTok speculation, Glen did share with Cosmopolitan that his first ‘in’ of his 2024 ‘In and Out List’ was none other than Tate McCrae.
