The latest episode of The Kardashians has offered fans an intimate look into Kris Jenner’s most recent health battle, following the family matriarch as she revealed her diagnosis to her children.
During a trip to Aspen, the 68-year-old sat down with her daughters Kim, Khloe and Kendall to reveal she was getting surgery after doctors discovered a tumour.
“I went to the doctor and I had my scan. They found a cyst and a little tumour on my ovary,” Kris revealed.
“Dr A said I have to have my ovaries taken out,” she added. “I’m just really emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys.”
“It’s also a thing about getting older and it’s a sign of we’re done with this part of your life,” she tearfully continued. “It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed.”
Later in the episode, the mother of six shared more details with the audience.
“I’m emotional about it because that’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown. In my tummy,” she said in her confessional interview. “It’s a very sacred place to me.”
“To have a surgery and remove your ovaries is a really big deal. I feel sad for her,” her daughter Kim explained. “I couldn’t imagine being in that situation and how you would feel really scared to be going through that.”
“I get her emotion behind it,” added Kendall. “I get that it’s sad because they have brought all her kids into the world, which is totally fair…but at the same time, what are we using those for anymore? If they’re potentially hurting you, let’s get them out of there.”
The episode also saw the family call Kourtney Kardashian, who was home with her four kids, to inform her about her mother’s health.
I’m getting surgery because I have a tumour on my ovaries, so they’re gonna remove them,” Kris shared with her oldest daughter.
“It’s like your womanly power,” Kourtney explained. “It doesn’t mean it’s taking away who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”
