Bec and Lleyton Hewitt’s daughter Mia is forging her own path. This is her life

She might be the daughter of one of Australia’s sporting legends, but Mia Hewitt was all rock‘n’roll when she showed off her impressive set of pipes at a gig in Sydney in August 2024.

The eldest child of tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt and former Home and Away actress Bec Hewitt was spotted performing with her “bohemian folk rock” duo, Father’s Favourite, at a venue in Alexandria – and true to the rock spirit, the 18-year-old took sips from a wine glass between songs and unwound after the gig by lighting up a cigarette.

Aspiring to be a professional singer isn’t a huge stretch for the eldest Hewitt, given Bec had her own brief stint as a pop star in the early 2000s at the height of her TV fame.

But we do have to wonder what Lleyton and Bec think of their daughter picking up smoking given they live an extremely healthy lifestyle.

Just days earlier, Mia was spotted puffing on a cigarette while hanging out with friends in Sydney’s east.

Lleyton and Bec’s idea of being rebellious has more to do with cheat meals than nicotine.

“I can probably let my hair down a little bit, but I have to be mindful as well, since I’m not going to the gym as much,” Lleyton once told Yahoo! Lifestyle while discussing his life post-tennis.

During the same chat, Bec said motherhood kept her fit.

“Sometimes your life doesn’t allow for time in the gym, so just fit in what you can and when you can,” she said, adding that Mia and her siblings, Cruz, 15, and Ava, 13, love the great outdoors.

“We have a dog so we love to take him out for walks,” she said. ”We all get out in the fresh air … so that’s a really good pastime for us.”
