It’s clear Nicholas Galitzine is kind of a big deal right now. The 29-year-old British actor has quickly earned himself a legion of fans thanks to his roles in Purple Hearts, Cinderella, The Craft: Legacy and Red, White & Royal Blue.

Now, as he stars as the leading member of August Moon in The Idea of You, the actor has spoken to British GQ about his sexuality.
In May 2024 he told British GQ; “I identify as a straight man, but I have been a part of some incredible queer stories”.
“I felt a sense of uncertainty sometimes about whether I’m taking up someone’s space, and perhaps guilt. At the same time, I see those characters as not solely their sexuality.”
The actor has played some iconic queer roles, including Prince Henry in Red, White & Royal Blue and George Villiers in Mary & George. But he says he doesn’t want his roles to define him, stating “I am Nick, and I’m not my role.”
In real life, fans are keen to know all about his relationships – though the actor keeps things private, their are some clues as to who he’s dating.
Does Nicholas Galitzine have a girlfriend?
While Nicholas himself hasn’t provided any details on his dating life, beyond speaking out about his sexuality in GQ, many fans think he could be dating model Cameron Valentina after he posted a cryptic Instagram story holding a woman’s hand.
While we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out any more details, the British actor did speak with People in April 2024 abut the difficulties that come with relationships in his line of work.
“I am acutely aware that I am so lucky to do the job that I do, but it, like any job, has its pitfalls,” he said. “The transience of the job, never really being in the same place at the same time as maybe family or relationships, can be really difficult, really straining.”
“It’s why it’s important to have people in your life who keep you grounded and keep your energy up, keep you going,” Nicholas added. “It’s also important to take breaks and have time to yourself as a human being as well.”
The only other time he has spoken about any prior relationship was during an interview with Wonderland Magazine in 2018, when he revealed how he got into acting.
“I had a serious crush on a girl who was attending the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and she was one of the performers. I went through with [the event] so that I could pursue this girl,” he explained.
“And I came back with this acting agency.”

Although we may have limited details on Nicholas’ current love life, we can clear up the idea that Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Cabello once dated. The pair starred in the live-action remake of Cinderella together in 2021 and rumours quickly spread that the pair were an item.
But the pair are just good friends, with Camila dating her now ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes at the time.
“I found a mate for life and I can’t wait to eat bananas and binge-watch Harry Potter as soon as possible,” Nicholas wrote in a sweet birthday post to Camila in 2021.

After seeing the incredible chemistry between Nicholas and Sofia Carson in Purple Hearts – many fans also believed they could be officially an item off-screen, but again, they are also just good friends.
“We were very lucky that we had this instinctual and very natural chemistry and even the way that him and I can get into under each other’s skin as Nick and Sofia, is very much how Cassie and Luke function,” Sofia Carson told Variety. “So it was cool to kind of almost emulate our bickering and our relationship in our movie.”
