She’s been an open book on her decision not to have kids in the past, but it seems that Ricki-Lee Coulter may be having a change of heart about starting a family.
The 34-year-old songstress took to Instagram on Tuesday night to share some pictures of herself and her husband, Richard Harrison, cuddling up to a friend’s baby.
“I’m so in love,” she captioned the post. “Meeting my new little bestie Yumi for the very first time & I never wanna let her go 💕💕💕 @ktsanchez89@bboyillwill.”
Many of her 237k followers were quick to comment on how at ease the former Australian Idol contestant looked holding the black-haired bub, which was wrapped tightly in a yellow blanket. Some even suggested that she’d be a natural mother.
“You need one of your own ❤️” one person wrote.
Another added: “Aww my gosh 😍 the 4th pic! 😍 P.s your turn 😝”
Ricki responded to both these comments with an eye-roll emoji.
It comes just two days after she celebrated the bub’s birth with an adorable black-and-white image.
“When your best friends have a baby, a crazy amount of love takes over your entire body,” she wrote. “My heart is exploding with love for this little princess 🥰 Welcome to the world Yumi…Aunty Ricki & Uncle Rich can’t wait to cuddle you!”
In an interview with Stellar Magazine back in 2019, Ricki said she adored being an Aunty and sister to her 10-year-old sibling.
“My mum and my sister had babies around the same time,” she told the publication. “I love being an aunty. We’ll stay up all night eating pizza, we’ll wake up and have a tub of ice-cream for breakfast and send you back to your parents – bye.”
She also noted that her reasons for not having children of her own were “personal.”
“You can’t tell people how to live their lives. You don’t know what people are going through, if they can’t have kids, or are trying, or have lost a baby,” she added.
Ricki-Lee married Richard, who by the way, is also her manager, in a lavish ceremony in Paris in August of 2015. And, five years on, they are still as loved-up as ever.
“He’s my biggest supporter. He’s my husband first and my manager second,” she previously told WHO. “So he’ll give me a cuddle and tell me I’m pretty and then he’ll be like, “but that song is s–t”. He’s very honest with me, brutally honest, and I am with him, and that’s why we work so well. I don’t have yes people in my life.”
