Sophie Monk shocked both fans and her loved ones when she was unveiled as the dragonfly on The Masked Singer on Monday night.
The former Bardot singer managed to keep the huge secret from her nearest and dearest, including boyfriend Joshua Gross and close friend Jackie O, who is one of the celebrity panellists on the hit reality show.

“Sorry @jackieo_official, I thought the prank would go for a week! Not 6 😂❤️❤️❤️,” Sophie joked on Instagram following the reveal, after Jackie O said she felt like “an idiot” for not realising it was her good friend under the mask.
Josh also confirmed his girlfriend had managed to keep her appearance on the show a surprise, revealing he had “no idea”.
“I got chills watching this! I could not be prouder of you. I love this! A few months ago I couldn’t even get you to sing around the house… Now look at you! 🙌 What a voice! I had no idea @sophiemonk 👸🎤❤️ Bring that voice home ASAP!!”
On Instagram, Sophie’s best friend Oscar Gordon called the reveal the “best surprise ever”.
And now that her time on the show is over, Sophie has returned home to Sydney from Melbourne, where she was living for several weeks while filming the show.
But before she can be reunited with her boyfriend Josh after an extended period of time apart, Sophie must quarantine alone for 14-days. The mandatory isolation rules apply to anyone returning to NSW from the Victorian capital, which is currently under Stage 4 lockdown after being declared a COVID-19 hotspot.
Yet that hasn’t stopped the happy couple from managing to enjoy some romantic moments together.

Josh took to Instagram to reveal how the couple have been staying connected while Sophie is in lockdown.
He visited her hotel and sat outside on the grass with a cup of coffee, talking and waving to Sophie while she stood on her balcony.
“Love in the time of Covid… Five weeks apart, lockdown and isolation, can’t stop our Sunday morning coffee dates,” Josh wrote on Instagram alongside an adorable video of their COVID-friendly date, which you can watch in the video player above.

Sophie and Josh first met on a plane in 2018 and shared their first kiss together just hours after meeting in the air.
The couple now live together in Sydney and recently celebrated their second anniversary together.
