Rumours of a romance between Timmy and Kylie had not yet begun to circulate however, many fans took to social media to share their excitement (and shock) at the unexpected crossover.
April 2023 – Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are reported to be dating
While a small group of fans had been speculating over the nature of their relationship since their first joint sighting, the celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi was the first to let slip about the possibility of Kylie and Timothée’s romance.
In true Gossip Girl fashion, Hollywood insiders slid into DeuxMoi’s DM’s to share the news, with the account then posting the intel to their Instagram stories.
“Anon pls. Multiple sources have told me that Timmy C has a new girl… Kylie Jenner,” wrote one source, with two others also chiming in to confirm the rumours.
May 2023 – Details of Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s relationship emerge
After being reportedly spotted on a taco date in L.A. in late April, a source shared more details on the dynamics of Timothée and Kylie’s relationship.
“Kylie and Timothée are casually seeing each other, but are trying to keep it low-key. They are becoming more comfortable with each other, but Kylie wants to take things day by day and see where it goes,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
“Timothée loves that Kylie is such a hands-on mum and a boss. He appreciates her confidence and thinks she’s incredibly beautiful.”

Over six months after they were initially photographed together, the first ‘official’ photos of Kylie and Timothée were made public.
On social media, fans of both stars were initially hesitant to comment on the new snaps. Given that the photos were relatively low-quality, many were still not 100% convinced that the couple in the photo was Kylie and Timothée.
August 2023 – Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner rumoured to have split
In a report that both delighted and disappointed fans, Life & Style claimed that Lil’ Timmy Tim and King Kylie had parted ways after seven months together.
“[Kylie’s] telling people that things between them naturally fizzled out because they’re both busy and travelling, but friends are whispering that Kylie got dumped,” a source told the publication.

Following Life & Style’s claims that the couple had split, sources speaking to multiple publications disputed the rumours – claiming that Timothée and Kylie were *definitely* still together.
“Everything is cool between the two [and] they’re still an item… Any reports that say otherwise are false,” an insider told TMZ.
“Kylie and Timothée are still seeing each other when they can. Kylie’s busy with work and travelling a lot, but they make time for each other when it works and [they] both like each other,” a source shared to Entertainment Tonight, adding, “They’re keeping things low-key and chill for now, but [they] get along great and have fun together.”

While many first took the news of Timothée and Kylie’s romance with a grain of salt, fans of the duo were sent into a frenzy on September 5 after a fan-taken video was posted to TikTok – showing the pair looking undeniably cozy in the VIP section at Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour in Los Angeles.
Following the concert, TMZ posted an exclusive video of Timothée and Kylie together during the show, with the video capturing the couple kissing and being highly affectionate.

Just as news of Kylie and Timmy’s U.S. Open appearance was leaving headlines, Kylie re-ignited the fan frenzy surrounding the new couple at the Prada Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show.
Following her red-carpet photo call, the 27-year-old was photographed by ELLE Mexico readjusting her sunglasses with her phone in her hand and, in true fangirl fashion, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the couple on Kylie’s lock-screen.

In their first public outing since the U.S. Open, Timothée and Kylie were spotted together at the WSJ Magazine 2023 Innovator Awards.
Although some fans speculated that their romance was over since they did not walk the red carpet together, photos captured from inside the event showed the new couple still happily together.

Following his appearance as a host on Saturday Night Live, Timmy and Kylie were spotted arriving at the SNL afterparty in New York City.

Given fans had not seen Timmy and Kylie together since the Golden Globes, the rumour mill well and truly went wild after the internet latched on to a tidbit that they could be expecting their first child.
The speculation started when comedian Daniel Tosh claimed he had spoken to a grocery store worker who revealed that while the store was closed for filming of The Kardashians, Kylie revealed that she was pregnant with Timothée’s child.
While these claims were unfounded, fans took the crumbs and deep-dived into the theory on social media, with many Twitter users being quick to point out Kylie’s sudden string of oversized outfits.
Despite the momentum the rumour gained, sources speaking to Us Weekly confirmed that rumours were nothing more than a wild reach on social media and that while they might not be expecting, their romance was still going strong.

As the pregnancy rumours started to fall by the wayside, fans soon began to speculate that the couple’s silence on their relationship could be an indication that they had parted ways.
Just when fans thought they had finally caught up, Kylie threw another curveball on Instagram, with fans spotting her previously-revealed phone lock screen of Timothée kissing her cheek while celebrating the launch of her new vodka soda brand Sprinter in Las Vegas.

Soft-launching on the grid? Well, we all know Kylie loves a mirror selfie, but after almost a year since their last sighting, fans thought they spotted Timothée’s signature Yankee Cap in the background of one of her photos.
In the comments section, fans were pointing out the potential discovery, with one user writing, “Look at Timothée in the back.”
Also in August, the couple were pictured getting off of the same plane, with photographs posted by Deux Moi showing Timmy and Kylie returning from Kylie’s birthday celebration with friends (and reportedly Timmy) in the Bahamas.
December 2024: Kylie Jenner spotted at the A Complete Unknown premiere in Los Angeles
Just under a year since they were last photographed together, fans were quick to spot Kylie (and momager Kris) at the Los Angeles premiere of Timmy’s latest film A Complete Unknown.
Staying true to form, the couple didn’t pose together on the red carpet, however, a handful of attendees shared footage from inside the venue – showing Kylie and Kris standing alongside Timothée as they headed into the venue.
Timmy’s vocal coach Eric Vetro also gave fans more confirmation of Kylie’s attendance, posting selfies alongside the couple individually from the event.
A few days after the event, TMZ dropped some HD footage of the couple on the red carpet and despite breakup rumours, Timmy and Kylie appeared to still be very much together as they headed into the event.

January 2025: Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet make a rare public appearance at the Golden Globes
While some fans may have feared (or hoped) that the couple had parted ways, Timmy and Kylie proved that their romance was still going strong during a rare joint public appearance at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Despite not walking the red carpet together, Timothée and Kylie were spotted packing on the PDA throughout the awards ceremony. While they may not have posted anything together on social media, Kylie was quick to share some snaps alongside her new besties – Timmy’s A Complete Unknown co-stars Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro.
