Less than one month after they were first spotted together, Dakota was photographed by fans watching Chris perform on stage during his Coldplay show in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
January 2018: Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson photographed together in Los Angeles
As rumours of their romance continued to circulate, Chris and Dakota were spotted several times together throughout January 2018.
Speaking to People, a source revealed that the new Hollywood couple were spotted together again at Malibu’s Soho House.
“Chris and Dakota arrived together in Chris’ car. They met up with friends and had a fun night. They both seemed very happy. They were flirty, and also left the restaurant together,” the source shared.
One week later, the pair were spotted on their first PDA-packed outing as they strolled arm-in-arm along the beach in Malibu.

While the news may have not come as a surprise to many fans of the couple, Dakota seemingly confirmed her romance with the Coldplay frontman during an interview with Tatler, telling the publication, “I’m not going to talk about [my relationship], but I am very happy.”

After confirming their relationship, Dakota and Chris reportedly spent their Thanksgiving celebrations with Chris’ ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and the former couple’s two children, Apple and Moses, alongside Gwyneth’s new husband Brad Falchuk.

Various sources claimed that the engaged couple had drifted apart and were heading their separate ways.
Johnson was spotted in Malibu without her emerald engagement ring, sparking speculation that it was all over.
And despite Johnson frequently being seen at Coldplay gigs, she had joined her husband on the European leg of their tour.
‘’They’ll always have love for each other but they’ve both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term,’’ a source told Mail Online.
‘’They’re both busy people. Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments which don’t naturally intertwine with each other.
‘’They wanted it to work but it just hasn’t, and they’ve now accepted it’s best to move on.’’
However, a rep for Johnson has denied the celebrity couple had split up.
‘’The reports are not true,’’ the rep told People.
