Meet the cast of Class of ’07

Aussie actresses have come from everywhere to join the show.

Aussie TV’s coolest ensemble cast is finally on screens in Class of ‘07.

Amazon Prime’s latest girl-powered comedy follows a group of high school mates who reunite at their 10-year reunion, only to find themselves the sole survivors of an apocalypse.

The show brought big names back to Oz for filming, including LA-based stars Caitlin Stasey and Emily Browning.

If you’re obsessed with this undeniably awesome cast, we have all the info on where you might have seen them before and where you can watch them next.

We also caught up with a few of them at the Class of ’07 premiere and asked them what they might take with them if they were stranded on an island.

Caitlin Stasey (Saskia)

Caitlin got her start in Neighbours but she’s added some big titles to her bio since then.

Perhaps you recognise her from the big screen Aussie book adaptation, Tomorrow When the War Began. Or maybe you caught her as Kenna in Reign – the historic drama that shot her to international fame. Or perhaps you fell in love with her as Claire in Josh Thomas’ hit, Please Like Me (which also stars Stasey’s Class of ‘07 co-star, Debra Lawrance).

For those keen on some Caitlin Trivia, we asked the actress what she would take to a desert island, and she said:

“I would need Aerogard, a tongue scraper and… a knife?”

Emily Browning (Zoe)

Emily has enjoyed massive international success, partially thanks to a turn in Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events alongside Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep and Jude Law. Since then she’s had roles in US TV hits American Gods and The Affair.

The actress is no stranger to working with female directors (Class of ‘07 is written and directed by Kacie Anning), having worked with Julia Leigh on the Cannes selected erotic drama, Sleeping Beauty.

Emily’s desert island dream list includes her dog (a gorgeous boy called Trouble) and sunscreen. We love a sun safety hero!

Megan Smart (Amelia)

Eagle-eyed fans may have seen Megan in any number of Aussie TV classics, from Home and Away to Wakefield.

However, this star on the rise has international fame on the horizon, thanks to upcoming rom-com Choose Love, also starring Scott Michael Foster (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Avan Jogia (who starred alongside Ariana Grande in Nickelodeon classic, Victorious).

Steph Tisdell (Phoebe)

Have you caught The Project lately? You may have seen stand-up comedy legend Steph Tisdell!

Steph has been on the comedy circuit since 2014 and occasionally joins The Project panel to share her takes.

However, Steph told Who she wasn’t the only funny lady on the Class of ’07 cast, confirming they all frequently found themselves in stitches.

“[My favourite experience of filming was] the amount of times we laughed so hard,” she shared at the show’s premiere. “We were ruining our make-up and getting in trouble. It happened so often.”

Regarding what she would take to a desert island, Steph quickly added “my two birds and a pillow”.

“I’d train my parrots to go and collect things for me and I love my pillow,” she said. “Wouldn’t you just love a pillow?”

Emma Horn (Renee)

Of Emma Horn, co-star Steph Tsidell noted: “Emma Horn is a f***ing menace. Her and I were utter mischief [on the set].”

If you’re one of Emma’s 200k+ TikTok followers, you’re probably familiar with her sense of humour and acting chops.

The comedic actress posts one-woman skits and tidbits about relationships, sex and queer life.

Claire Lovering (Genevieve)

If you can’t remember Claire from her part in 2015’s film San Andreas (with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson), you won’t forget her soon.

Catch her in one of her (many) upcoming projects, including ABC period comedy Gold Diggers, murder mystery North Shore or the Celeste Barber-fronted Netflix comedy, Wellmania.

Bernie Van Tiel (Tegan)

You may have caught Bernie on the small screen in Home and Away or Jade of Death, but this multi-hyphenate is also a vastly talented hip-hop artist and beatboxer.

Known as BVT, you may have heard Bernie on Triple J, seen them as the face of Beatboxing Australia or caught them hosting live events and competitions worldwide.

Chi Nguyen (Megan)

You may have seen this bright newcomer in fellow Prime series, The Wilds, in which she plays Jeanette.

She also appeared in Kitty Flanagan-fronted comedy Fisk.

Rose Flanagan (Laura)

Rose received her big break in Ja’mie Private School Girl – so it’s no wonder Caitlin Stasey named her as one of the funniest members of the ‘07 cast.

“Anything Rose Flanagan does – she’s incredible [as] Laura – had me in stitches,” Stasey told Who of her favourite experience filming Class of ’07.

If you’re wondering where you can see Rose next, she will also feature in the upcoming Robbie Williams fictionalised biopic, Better Man

Sana’a Shaik (Teresa)

Sana’a has been busy building an impressive acting resume, which includes appearances in series like Reckoning, Dive Club and Summer Love

Be sure to stay tuned for more Sana’a in the future, as you’ll soon see here opposite White Lotus season two cutie, Leo Woodall, in their new film, Nomad

You may have seen her in musical productions of 9 to 5, A Chorus Line, and Cruel Intentions The Musical

She was also recently cast as Sophie Sheridan in the upcoming production of Mamma Mia!

Debra Lawrance (Sister Bicky)

If you have to ask where you’ve seen Debra Lawrence before, you haven’t been watching enough Aussie TV.

Debra is a veteran of the local film and TV industry and thus a certified national treasure.

She’s been in everything from Blue Heelers to A Country Practice and Sons and Daughters. Lawrance is also one of the few people to have held leading roles on BOTH Home and Away and Neighbours

In 2017, she was rightfully awarded both an AACTA and a Logie for her work as Rose in Please Like Me.

Need we say more?

She joins the Class of ‘07 cast as the villainous Sister Bicky.

Class of ’07 is streaming now on Amazon Prime.
