The 55-year-old, who has reprised his role of Aaron Falk for the movie sequel, told WHO that riding a motorbike through in the Australian bush is something he can never get enough of.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in the bush in the high country between NSW and Victoria on two wheels, that’s my first love,” the salt-and-pepper star tells.

“A lot of that area I know really well and I keep going back to it. I’m like a moth to a flame, I can’t get enough of it. It’s so extensive and it’s so beautiful.”

Bana, who has starred in Hollywood blockbusters including Hulk, Troy and Black Hawk Down, is something of a renowned revhead, with a nine-car garage at his Victorian home.

The Dry, based on the books by Jane Harper, was shot over almost two months in the Dandenong Ranges, the Yarra Valley and the Otways in extremely challenging conditions.

Also starring Anna Torv and Deborra-lee Furness in her return to the big screen, it sees AFP agent Falk called in to investigate when a woman on a corporate hiking retreat goes missing. When quizzed, the four other women who made it back to camp start telling different stories about what happened to their colleague, who just happens to be Falk’s informant.

Other than Bana, Furness, 68, was one of the first to be cast in the Robert Connolly-directed film.

She also attended the premiere on Tuesday, January 23, at the Open Air Cinema in Sydney’s Botanic Gardens which boats the Sydney Opera House as a spectacular backdrop.

A clearly energized Furness tells WHO that walking this red carpet (which was actually black in this case) was a “beautiful experience”

Force Of Nature: The Dry 2 is in cinemas across Australia on February 8.
