She may have been the fan-favourite tipped to win Farmer Bert’s heart, but Karli Hinkley has found herself a new farmer after leaving the show.
Karli, who was one of the two remaining women vying for Farmer Bert’s heart in season 14 of Farmer Wants a Wife Australia before he left the show early, took to Instagram to announce the new relationship.
Alongside the caption “Love of my life ❤️,” the former contestant shared a photo of herself and her new beau, Mitchell Gorman.
At this stage, neither Karli nor Mitch have made any further comments on their relationship, but fans have discovered his LinkedIn profile which describes him as a “senior Agronomist with a demonstrated history of working in the potato industry. Skilled in Soil health, Potato Pathology, Hydrology, logistics and environmental sustainability. Bachelor of Science – focused in Environmental and Agricultural Science.”
A close friend of Karli’s recently spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle, explaining the FWAW contestant was “contractually not allowed to publicly reveal any details about her new relationship and will have to wait a few more months before she can go public”.
“The show wrapped in December last year and Karli was actually done with filming in November. She has had plenty of time to put the show behind her,” they told the publication. “The final edit has been quite cringeworthy at times but with her heart and mind elsewhere Karli has been happy to laugh it off and play along with Channel Seven.”
Fellow show alumni and fans flooded Karli’s relationship announcement with support, including Caitlin Crank and Lauren McNeil, who were also in the competition for Farmer Bert’s heart.
“Ekkk 😍😍 so happy for you!!! Xx,” Caitlin Crank commented, as Lauren McNeil responded with three emojis writing, “😍🥹❤️.”
