Cancelled plans have become the norm this year.
Gone were the grand milestone birthday celebrations, the European holidays, and let’s not even dwell on the weddings that couldn’t go ahead.
WATCH: The moment Georgia Love picked Lee Elliot in The Bachelorette finale
Reality stars Georgia Love and Lee Elliot were right there with the best of them.
The loved-up Bachelorette pair were supposed to celebrate their wedding with an Italian fiesta like no other. COVID-19 obviously saw to that (or the lack thereof). They then changed their plans to host the nuptials in Tasmania – but again, their plans were foiled.
But now, it looks as though the pair have made up for the disappointment and waiting game – they’ve just purchased a house together.
Sharing the happy news on Instagram, Lee wrote: “adulting [uh-duhlt-ing] verb mimicking things you see real adults do in an attempt to trick people into believing you are a responsible member of society.”
He concluded: “So anyway, we just purchased our first house together.”
In the sweet pic, both Georgia and Lee look thrilled with a celebratory bottle of champagne.
Georgia Love also shared a similar announcement on her own page.
“Because launching two businesses and planning two weddings during a global pandemic wasn’t stressful, interesting or financially draining enough, we thought, “why not buy a house too?” she wrote.
The couple’s friends and followers were clearly chuffed for the pair, taking to the comments section to share their excitement.
“Omg!! You kept that quiet. So happy for you guys. Yayyyy!” wrote a friend.
Another said: “Congratulations to you both!! Here’s to making new memories in your new home xxx.”
Another made a comment about the pair’s firry friend who also made a cameo in the announcement: “Audrey looks ex-cat-ic. Either that, or she thinks it’s cat-a-strophic #soz congratulations guys.”
A pun-filled congrats worthy only of these two!
Back in August, Georgia shared her frustration at having to cancel her wedding a second time.
“So like HOW FUNNY IS IT when you cancel your Italy wedding and book it for Tasmania instead hahahahahahahaha and then the Premier shuts the borders til at least December HAHAHAHAHA OMG SO FUNNY I’M TOTALLY FINE!!!!!” she exclaimed on social media at the time.
While speaking with Who previously, Georgia spoke of her desire for a destination wedding.
“We’ve been to a few destination weddings and they’ve been wonderful. You’re on holidays with your favourite people. It’s all we’d ever spoken about doing, which in hindsight is very silly. That’s what hurts the most, we’ve never actually talked about doing anything else.”
Well, it looks like first stop is a home, next stop… wedding bells for these two.
