Former Spice Girl Geri Horner welcomed her first child with husband Christian Horner over the weekend and the star opted to take this as a chance to pay tribute to her late friend and singer George Michael.
The Spice Girls star announced the name of her newborn- which was inspired by the Wham singer on Instagram, by announcing his name is Montague George Hector Horner.
“Montague George Hector Horner arrived this morning,” Horner, 44, wrote, alongside a black and white photo of her son.
“A beautiful little brother for Bluebell and Olivia”.
According to The Mirror UK, a family source said: “Geri wanted George to be a part of Monty’s life, so she felt it only fitting that her newborn have a middle name after the star.”
Michael, who died at age 53 on Christmas day was a long-time friend of Horner.
When she received news of his tragic death she took to Instagram to share a special message in memory of him alongside a snap of the two.
“So so sad , R.I.P George, a dear friend, the kindest, most generous & talented person . My thoughts are with his family.#GeorgeMichael
