When it comes to wholesome Aussie celebrity romances, no one couple is doing it for us quite like Guy and Jules. And on Thursday morning, Guy just amped that up to maximum cuteness with his kind words for his childhood sweetheart.

Over on Sunrise this morning, Guy, 39, was interviewed about his upcoming national tour, life after COVID and The Voice, and made sure to let everyone know that even amongst his crowned TV and musical achievements, he’s “crazy proud” of his wife and mother of his two children, Jules, 41.
“She’s been really busy, she’s just written her book and has been busy promoting that, and I love it,” he told Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David Koch.
“I love watching her do her thing because she’s been such a support [and] always taken the backseat but had a lot of things to say and things she’s wanted to accomplish.”
“Now, she’s sort of doing that and I’m so proud of her,” he continued.
“Everyone knows how hard a mum works, and being able to juggle the two [work and parental life], she’s way busier than me, and so I’m crazy proud of her and love her.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic first hit Australia and sent Sydney into lockdown, Guy, like most of us, spent his days at home, watching Netflix and treasuring quality time with the kids.
“I’ve been on it for a long time,” he explained. “I feel like I’ve been on a treadmill [career wise] and been working my bum off. I’m a bit of a workaholic.”
“I actually really enjoyed spending time with the kids. I feel like what COVID has done for a lot of us – especially for people who work for themselves and musos – we’re constantly chasing that next gig, and it taught us that we can slowdown and have a bit more quality in what we do, and get that work-life balance.”
“I’ve been loving how much time I’ve been spending with the kids and Jules…”
