Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding happened on September 29, 2018. The GOOP founder and actress married writer, director and producer, Brad Falchuk, and said their vows in front of 70 of their friends and family. The ceremony was held at her Hamptons home in Amagansett, New York.

Who Are Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk?
Gwyneth Paltrow, aged 46, is an actress, singer and entrepreneur who got her start in acting in 1989, starring in High, a TV movie directed by her father. She rose to prominence in 1996, playing the eponymous character in Emma, and solidified her status as a star by playing Viola De Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love (1998), winning an Oscar for her performance.
Her more recent roles as Pepper Potts have her starring opposite Iron Man himself and several other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
In recent years, Gwyneth Paltrow has risen into prominence again by starting her lifestyle company and brand, GOOP in 2018. Her feminist and sex-positive views have made her very popular as she’s free to talk about her boobs, her children, her make-up and anything else that’s on her mind.
Brad Falchuk, aged 48, on the other hand, is a writer, producer and director best known for co-creating smash television hits with Ryan Murphy. These include Glee, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, and most recently, Pose.
It was actually on the set of Glee, where Brad Falchuk first met Gwyneth Paltrow. She was starring as Holly Holliday, a substitute teacher.
Who Did They Date Before?
Paltrow dated fellow actor Brad Pitt between 1994 and 1997 and was even briefly engaged in 1996 when she was 24, but they broke it off because she wasn’t ready for marriage. She also briefly dated Ben Affleck between 1997 and 2000.
Paltrow’s most significant relationship prior to Falchuk was with Chris Martin, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band, Coldplay. They met in 2002 and got married in October of 2003. They have two kids together, a daughter, Apple Paltrow Martin and a son, Moses Paltrow Martin.
Paltrow and Martin officially separated, or as they refer to it, had a “conscious uncoupling” in 2014, and officially got divorced in 2016. Many speculate that their relationship ended due to Paltrow’s postpartum depression and their busy schedules of filming and touring.
The couple is still on great terms and they share custody of their children.
Brad Falchuk was previously married to fellow TV producer, Suzanne Bukinik. They were married from 1994 to 2003.
When Did They Start Dating And Get Engaged?
They first went public with their relationship in April 2015 although many had already been speculating that they were dating since 2014. They then got engaged, announcing their engagement In January 2018. That following July, they then also announced that they will be having a small wedding to be held that September.
Fun fact: Gwyneth Paltrow actually had two engagement rings. Her first engagement ring was spotted at the 29th annual Producers Guild Awards, just after announcing her engagement. The ring sports a large blue gemstone and a silver band.
However, at the Head Over Heels premier, it had been revealed that she had replaced her ring with a simple gold band bearing Brad Falchuk’s initials.
Their wedding bands are similarly simple, just two matching rings of thin gold bands.
Paltrow mentioned in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that both of her kids were excited for her to get married again. She, herself was also excited saying that since she and Chris Martin eloped, she’s “never had a wedding or any of these fun, like, bride kind of things.”

Very little was known about Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding until she posted on Instagram to share some photographs from her wedding. She posted, saying, “Took me a minute to get it together, but at long last, for those who have requested, a little look inside the best day of our lives”, and linking to an album on her website, GOOP. The photos were taken and done by John Dolan and Lynsey Addario.
Aside from their family, the #faltrow wedding was attended by a star-studded cast of 70 guests in total. Guests included Benji Madden, Cameron Diaz, Rob Lowe, Jerry Seinfeld, and of course, her silver screen husband, Robert Downey, Jr.
What Was The Reception Like?
Paltrow shared photos of the rehearsal dinner menu, catered by Olivier Cheng. Mallman’s fire menu included items like rib eye steak, lamb, wild salmon, and a plethora of roasted vegetables.
She also shared the menu for her reception dinner. This dinner featured items like scampi tortellini, honey mustard duckling, prime rib and even more roasted vegetables.
Dinner was then followed by dancing for which, Paltrow even changed “into a Stella McCartney jumpsuit for ‘80s party jams”. Music was provided by the house DJ, Arman Naféei and their jazz band, Django Foxtrot.
The dancing, of course, included a slow dance from the newly-wed happy couple.
Who Designed Gwyneth Paltrow’s Wedding Dress?
Paltrow’s wedding dress was a beautiful Valentino dress designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli and styled by Elizabeth Saltzman. Her photos reveal a very simple, but beautiful dress with delicate lace appliqués accentuating the details. She also wore her hair down and topped it off with a tulle veil.
Her make-up artist was Gucci Westman, while her hair stylist was Orlando Pita.
Brad Falchuk, on the other hand, was wearing a sleek suit, designed by Tom Ford.
Where Was Their Honeymoon?
After their wedding, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk celebrated their honeymoon in the Maldives. On a segment on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, Paltrow even revealed that her kids, Apple and Moses, and her ex-husband, Chris Martin also joined them on their honeymoon.
