It’s been exactly a year since Justin Bieber got down on one knee in the Bahamas and asked his on-again-off-again girlfriend Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) to marry him.

And although the pair have been very vocal about the ups and downs of their tumultuous relationship, Hailey was celebrating the good times this morning, paying tribute her “best friend for life” on their one-year anniversary.
“1 year ago I said yes to being your best friend for life, and today I have never loved you more,” Hailey, 22, wrote in an Instagram post. “Life gets more beautiful everyday because of you, my heart belongs to you forever. Here’s to learning and growing together,” Baldwin said, adding a red heart emoji and clinking glasses emoji.
Hailey and the “Sorry” singer— who recently got involved in the Scooter Braun/ Taylor Swift scandal— secretly tied the knot at a New York City courthouse late last year, two months after they announced their shock engagement. A source close to the pair told WHO at the time that although “they went ahead and did it without listening to anyone” they’re are planning a larger wedding celebration.
Hailey’s adorable tribute seems to disprove rumours that her husband Justin Bieber is “refusing” to cease contact with his ex-girlfriend, former Disney star Selena Gomez. According to Radar Online, after the actress opened up about her battle with depression and anxiety, Justin felt the need to reach out.
“Justin felt compelled to let her know that she looks amazing and that he is really happy for her that she is doing so well,” a source close to the pop star celeb told the outlet. “At the point, he really just needs to let it go,” the insider added, insisting, “Justin is married and it’s time.”
