As their final year on radio almost comes to an end, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have finally introduced their new venture, True Story.
“A lot of people with great stories, don’t think they are great stories,” Blake told WHO at the 2017 Logie Awards.
The premise of the show is simply real stories from everyday people, acted out by well-known Australian actors.
“A lot of thee are people who have been dobbed in by friends, or family. And then we get Australia’s best actors and comedians to reenact them and bring them to life,” Lee explained. “So Molly and whatnot, they get bio pics, but this is everyday people having their own stories told.”
The radio duo were at the Logies with their better halves, who were acting as each others ‘ultimate wingmen’ as the boys took to the red carpet.
“She looks beautiful,” Lee said of his girlfriend Rebecca Harding. “She was up early to get ready. Here’s a scoop for you – and I’m blowing it wide open – but after getting ready, she actually went back to bed in between.”
