Although Kim Kardashian West was crowned one of the best dressed at the 2019 Met Gala, Kanye West urged his wife to rethink her daring look moments before stepping onto the red carpet.
WATCH: Kanye and Kim fight over her epic look
In a new teaser trailer for the upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians we see the rapper and reality TV star locked in a bitter feud over her custom made “dripping wet” dress, which Kanye says he hated!
“Like the corset, underwear, all that vibe, I just feel like I just went through this transition of being rapper, and looking at all these girls and looking at my wife like, ‘Oh, my girl needs to be just like all the other girls, showing her body off’,” said Kanye, who recently revealed he’s now a devout Christian.
“I didn’t realise that was affecting like my soul and my spirit as someone that’s married and loved, and the father of what’s about to be four kids.”
After the 42-year-old said he no longer finds it “hot” when the KKW Beauty founder shows off her curvaceous figure, a furious Kim ripped into him, explaining she spent over eight months working on the iconic look.
“The night before you’re going to come in here and say you’re not into the corset look?” a defensive Kim asked. “You’re giving me really bad anxiety… I don’t need any more negative energy for you to now say you’re not into me wearing a tight dress.”
“You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,” Kanye hit back.
The drama was then topped by Kim’s emotional response.
“You built me up to be a sexy person and have confidence! Just because you’re on a journey and your in a transformation, doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot with you,” she said.
Over the conversation, Kanye stormed out as Kim yelled: “that’s absolutely ridiculous”.
Although she stunned on the red carpet, she probably should’ve listened to Kanye seeing as the firm fitting dress left her disfigured. In a behind-the-scenes video with Vogue, the reality TV star said her bodysuit was so tight she was not only unable to sit or stand properly but it took three assistants to strap her into the corset before slipping into the dress.
“Okay, so Anna, if I don’t sit down for dinner, now you know why. I’ll be walking around mingling, talking, but I cannot sit,” she told Vogue‘s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. “I can only like, half sit.”
The custom made nude corset— designed by acclaimed French couturier Mister Pearl— was so tight it left painful indentations in her lower back.
“I have never felt pain like that in my life,” Kim told WSJ magazine for a digital cover story a few months ago. “I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off—the indentations on my back and my stomach.”
