Khloe Kardashian has copped a serious amount of backlash over an adorable video of her 14-month-old daughter, True Thompson, driving around in a toy Bentley car. After sharing the cute clip to her Instagram page, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was accused of spending money on “worthless materialism” and unnecessarily spoiling her baby girl.

“Great, another Kardashian in a Bentley,” one user commented. “You guys are so oblivious to how your excessive spending looks to the outside world. I really loved your family’s story and now just can’t bare to watch as you spend all this money on worthless materialism. It’s so sad.”
The Good American founder decided to respond, politely clarifying that her daughter True— who she shares with serial cheater Tristan Thompson— wasn’t driving an actual luxury video.
“Ummm you know this is not a real Bentley?” Khloe responded. “It’s a toy…no reason to get sad over a baby in a toy car. Either way I’m sorry you feel that way but I hope you have a great weekend! Focus on things that make you happy! Smile.”
The same social media user replied to Khloe’s comment, pointing out that the reality TV star has “so much influence” and that there are “always ways we can improve as people”.
“I appreciate this!” Khloe replied. “I appreciate this message more than your first. I’m able to digest what you have to say because of how you stated it. I hear you. “I personally don’t believe that all we ‘do is spend money on worthless materialism.’ I’m not here to prove what I do or don’t do. But what I can say is that I’m able to look myself in the mirror and sleep well at night. I’m able to do that because I know I’m a good person and life is all about balance. Yes, I do choose to spoil my daughter. I want to spoil her with love and as well with material items. She will also be raised with values, responsibilities, chores, respect, self love.”
This isn’t the first time Khloe has come under fire for her daughter’s impressive collection of toys. After receiving a mini Bentley from a family friend in August, Khloe was accused of “embedding materialism in [True’s] brain” with the gift.
Refusing to let the nasty comment slide, the celeb clapped back.
“She’s a baby who received a beautiful sweet gift and I was SOOO excited to put her in it and take a picture! I’m enjoying every single moment I can with my sweet angel! The angel GOD gave me!”
