After yesterday’s childish on-air spat, everyone thought Michael Goonan would keep his next radio interview generic, basic, and drama free.

However, when asked who the fakest contestant on this season of Married At First Sight was, he couldn’t resist gossiping! Without thinking twice, the successful businessman revealed both Steve Burley and Chris Nichols laid it on thick for the cameras, admitting the rest of the cast saw a completely different side to the grooms.
“Chris came across like a softie, like a real sweet innocent boy but Chris is a lad, he’s a lad way back,” he told 96.1 radio hosts Mike E and Emma.
In the same breath, he said: “The big one that got the air time… I liked the guy, or should I say the pensioner. We had our ups and downs but Steve has got to be one of the fakest people I’ve met on the show. Mate, stop taking the piss.”
Recounting a conversation he had with the barbershop owner during one of the recent dinner parties, Michael said his excuse for not wanting to sleep with his TV bride, Mishel Karen, was nonsensical.
“One night I said to him, ‘Mate, have you ever had a one night stand?’ He said ‘yes’ and then I was like, ‘So you’re saying you love this girl and she means so much to you. She wants to shag you, why don’t you just shag her?'”
While he didn’t gift us with Steve’s no doubt fiery response, Michael did suggest “someone needs to throw little blue tablets down his throat and get him barred up and ready to play.”
Obviously we all know by now that the couple has struggled with intimacy as Mishel is tries to take their relationship to the next level while Steve remains reluctant. Understandably, this has caused a lot of tension between the married pair, with Steve recently admitting he’s not sexually attracted to his experimental wife.
Let’s get back to Michael for a second thought. While he certainly had no qualms about shading his co-stars, their brief interview was far tamer than what listeners on a different radio station heard yesterday morning.
Joining the HIT Mid North Coast breakfast program, Get Up With Krysti & Bodge, to chat about one of the many cheating scandals he’s been embroiled in, Michael was easily triggered when Bodge said he’d seen a video of him hooking up with Hayley Vernon. As we know, Michael has been pretty hazy about the events that ensued on their boozy night out, reaffirming he was “too drunk to remember anything”.
“I’ve heard a little video is doing the rounds of you and Hayley and it gets released this weekend,” Bodge said, clearing geeing Michael up.
“Oh, that’s the rumour everyone keeps telling me. But I’m yet to see the video so I’m not putting any confirmation in that,” Micheal hit back, adamant the clip never existed in the first place.
Feeling attacked, in a matter of seconds Michael spiralled out of control, hurling insults at Bodge.
“Do you know what? I’m going to be completely honest with you because I had another guy from radio try to do this to me yesterday. These are just Kyle Sandilands wannabe shock factors,” the irate groom screamed.
“Mate, the only reason you’d have that video, let me tell you Jason from Adelaide, the only reason you’d have that video is because you probably were hanging out … sharing needles, probably in Elizabeth (a northern suburb just outside of Adelaide). Let me give you the hot tip, that would not surprise me at all if you had that mate.”
Sharing needles?” a stunned Bodge asked, clearly taken aback by his foul suggestion.
“You can go absolutely do one,” Michael said before hanging up.
Not realising at this point that he’d ended the interview, Bodge hit back saying: “What a dog, Mike. Listen to ya. You little rich boy. Your parents have got you all your wealth and you come on this show and you rag on the fact I’m from Elizabeth. Mate, I love Elizabeth. It’s fantastic.
“He’s gone, he’s gone. He’s hung up. What a piece of work… Stuff him. We don’t need him… What a whiny little b**ch.”
After dozens of MAFS fans slammed Michael for his inappropriate comments, his estranged TV wife, Stacey Hampton, weighed in on the drama, slamming Michael for his deplorable actions.
“It’s disgusting to degrade a community like that,” the soon-to-be lawyer wrote on Instagram, referring to the moment Michael suggested Bodge should “share a needle with Hayley Vernon”.
