Amid the Coronavirus pandemic that’s sweeping the globe, we have something to smile about— Your favourite Married At First Sight star, Connie Crayden, has found love again!
WATCH: MAFS’ Connie says Stacey’s insults to Hayley were too vile to air
The once unlucky in love reality star has apparently been dating airline worker David Holder for some time now, with unearthed photos showing the couple cuddling up to each other in January just days before MAFS aired. In the snaps obtained by Daily Mail Australia, a beaming Connie can be seen greeting her man at the airport before going in for a passionate kiss!
While little is known about their romance, word has spread that David has been close friends with Connie’s co-star Ivan Sarakula for years and even attended his wedding to Aleks Markovic.
Honestly, we’re beyond excited for the aspiring marine biologist because she’s had a tough go on this season of the dating experiment. Married to Jonethen Musulin, Connie was constantly torn between writing “stay” or “leave” depending on whether he was into her that week. And although they appear to be best friends on the show, there’s bad blood between the exes.
Last week, Connie revealed she had her heart broken by the groom and decided to cut off all communication with him after he ditched her birthday for a paid club promotion.
“I had my last straw with him this weekend. I can’t play pretend. I can’t live a double life,” she said through tears on Hobart’s Hit100.9 last week. “It was my birthday this weekend. He was in Melbourne for the whole weekend. He said he would be there for me for my birthday.”
“He was with Mikey, Ivan, Steve and Dave… I get it, these guys are celebrities, they’re D grade celebrities,” the fiery bride continued. “They had this very important event to go through and they said after it was done they’d come and meet me for a drink. I thought, awesome, that’d mean the world to me. But after saying they’d come, they didn’t even bother.”
Although she said she saw the other grooms dogging her from a mile away, she didn’t think Jonethen would stoop that low.
“I half expected it, but after everything we’ve been through together, I thought he could… Even David and Steve I was really shocked with as well. I thought they could take an hour after lapping up that D grade life to have a drink with a mate.”
She continued: “They were too busy with their meet and greets and thinking they’re really relevant and important.”
While Jonethen’s absence may come as a shock to some, he boldly told New Idea earlier this week that he had no choice but to stay in the experiment after MAFS producers tore up his contract and bribed him into sticking it out.
“I told producers that I was leaving and that there was nothing they could do about it,” he told the outlet.
“They had already lost so many contestants so that’s when they said to me, ‘What can we do to make you stay?'”
