While this season of Married At First Sight appears to be the most controversial yet, all of the juicy cheating scandals and temper tantrums have somehow taken place behind the scenes when the cameras weren’t rolling.

WATCH EXCLUSIVELY: Jessika Power slams Channel Nine for ‘pathetic’ and ‘boring’ MAFS season

As a result, watching the mundane and overly used storylines actually play out on our screens has been extremely repetitive and underwhelming. This is exactly why former MAFS contestant, Jessika Power, is threatening to change the channel.

Discussing last night’s dinner party episode in which several surprising allegations were thrown around the table, the former reality star said she’s grown tired of watching Michael Goonan create unnecessary drama and couldn’t believe an entire episode revolved around a contrived cheating scandal.

“Channel Nine, Married At First Sight, this episode was pathetic,” Jess told New Idea. “The producers need to get into line, like, where’s the interest? If I wasn’t doing a recap I would’ve turned it off. It’s so boring. Everyone I have spoken to has said this season is boring. Even Lizzie even said herself that it is boring.”

She continued: “I don’t know what they’ve done this season but the whole episode was only about whether or not someone slept with someone. That’s really boring. I would rather turn on the news.”

With every contestant hurling the same insults across the table time and time again, Jess declared she’s lost interest in the show as MAFS producers continue to push the same petty narrative, rather than letting the drama unfold naturally.

“They looked at last year and knew what got the ratings— young people with lots of confidence and a bit of energy. So they thought, let’s just chuck all of those sorts of people into the room and see what happens. Unfortunately, they’re all the same person. In our season, everyone was different and there were different opinions and personalities that made it interesting. We had Cyrell, me, Cam and Jules… That’s how it should have gone.”

Going on to discuss her hatred towards Stacey’s outspoken husband, Michael, Jess wasted no time slamming the businessman for his “deplorable” actions.

“Michael has no respect. I think he is a piece of work. He’s horrible, disrespectful to women and disrespectful to the entire group, I hope he goes next week because I cannot stand looking at his face and I don’t want to have to break my television,” she said.

“Every single dinner party, he wants to get his big sh*t-stirring spoon out and start having a go at somebody. Focus on your own relationship, love. Why do you care whether or not Aleks and Ivan slept together?”

As we know, Michael couldn’t comprehend how Aleks’ feelings for her television husband changed so quickly, deciding to air their dirty laundry with volume so the rest of the cast could weigh in.

“Please. You may as well tell me Santa Claus is coming. What a load of nonsense. I’ve never heard so much crap in my life,” he said when Aleks denied she consummated their marriage.

He then explained that when he cheated on Stacey—which he once strenuously denied— he was honest with his wife and the rest of the group, meaning she should do the same.

“I was entirely honest. You’re not givin’ the same respect back.

“She’s bang out of order… don’t say you haven’t been intimate when you have been intimate,” Michael snapped when he clearly thought Aleks’ definition of “intimate” meant sexual intercourse.
