KC Osborne and Michael Goonan’s relationship has been plagued by rumours she’s dating the millionaire businessman for his fortune.

However, according to the Married At First Sight bride, this accusation— one that Michael’s ex-wife Stacey Hampton also faced— is not only hurtful but couldn’t be further from the truth.
“People have been calling me a gold digger, I’m just with Michael for his money, all this stuff,” the 31-year-old said while chatting to KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson via Zoom.
“What’s wrong with being materialist? As long as you’re kind, give back and you’re a good person, who cares if you like nice things,” she said, adding her followers often slap the words “annoying” and “superficial” across her Instagram profile.
She reality TV star continued: “Michael is a really kind guy. I wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t. He treats me really well and we’re happy, and it’s a great thing that came from the show.”
Sadly, this isn’t the first time KC has been forced to squash the nasty rumour that continues to cast a shadow of doubt over their romance. Taking to her Instagram story earlier this week, the overwhelmed star addressed these nasty allegations while begging fans to be more empathetic.
“Michael, I do believe, came into my life for a reason. This is the happiest I have ever been with someone. We are so alike, we are a team. For all those gold digging comments that I do get, that’s cool, have your say. They’re words.
“They make me upset at the time, but guess what? When I do get upset, it just makes me stronger. I don’t need a man and I don’t need Michael to get me nice things,” she said in the lengthy video.
The dance teacher, who recently moved back to Australia after failing to make it big time in Los Angeles, went on to say that God put the MAFS groom in her life for a reason.
“I didn’t plan for it to be this way, but I do believe that God has a plan and I am so grateful for Michael being in my life. We are a team, we are a partnership and I absolutely love how that boy treats me. I’m just happy.”
KC echoed a similar sentiment during her radio interview, revealing she was initially disinterested in getting to know Michael due to the multiple controversies he was embroiled in while filming MAFS. However, after spending months desperately trying to win her over, KC said she finally “caved in” and the rest is history!
“After the show, I went on a couple of dates with one guy and that was it,” the 31-year-old began. “Michael was trying really hard to get me and I was like, ‘No, I’m never going to date you’. And then it just happened. Michael doesn’t take no for an answer so he was like a dog with a bone and was really pursuing me. I am glad.”
