While both Camilla and Matthew have kept the details of their family life out of the public eye, in October 2020, Matthew offered a rare glimpse into the world of his eldest son, telling People about his lifelong proficiency in music.

“Basically, he came out of the womb knowing a minor from a major key on the piano. In the last six months, he really got into listening to composers, and he can now listen to a movie and tell you, ‘Oh, that’s Hans Zimmer’ or, ‘That’s John Williams’,” he told the publication.

Levi is also a passionate surfer, with his social media sporting a collection of clips of the eldest McConaughey child shredding waves.

Born January 3, 2010, Matthew and Camila’s second child Vida is the couple’s first daughter.

While little is known about McConaughey’s middle child, in December 2020, she briefly joined Matthew on an episode of the Why Not Now? podcast, with a then-10-year-old Vida offering some sage advice to her father when asked what the one lesson he keeps learning is.

“Trusting, I guess. When you correct [Levi, Vida, and Livingstone]. A lot of times you’ll correct us, and then you’ll come back and explain why you corrected us,” Vida shared.

Vida has also already tried her hand at acting, with the 13-year-old sharing a brief role alongside her dad in Sing 2.

Despite the initial hardship, Camila shared that Livingston eventually grew “out of the dark side” by the time he was four years old.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate his tenth birthday, Camila shared an adorable photo of her son blowing out the candles of his birthday cake, writing, “All he wanted to do is go to Altitude [trampoline park] in Austin and an ice cream cake. May your heart, my son, keep its simplicity as you grow in this complicated world!!”

“You challenge me and teach me daily [and] for that I am grateful! What a blessing you are!”
