The loved-up couple, who met on season six of Married At First Sight, seem to be pursuing work opportunities overseas, as confirmed by Michael in an Instagram Q&A.

“Where have you been?” one fan asked him, referencing his recent Instagram absence, and leading him to write that “mainly Martha and I spent some time making a big decision to move overseas for a while”.

When asked why, he explained it was something that had been on their minds for a while.

“It’s something we’ve wanted to do for years,” he wrote.

“We’ve had a fair few problems with our house and the fact that the world is essentially open again … we decided now is as good a time as any.

“It’s not a long-term move,” he confirmed.

He went on to explain that Martha is already overseas for work, and he’ll go on to join her in mid-May.

However, he had to clarify a few things shortly after making the announcement, with a few of his friends and family believing the move was a much bigger deal than he had made it out to be.

“We aren’t moving permanently,” he confirmed.

“We are getting out of our house because of mould issues and leaking issues … putting our stuff in storage, and because of that we are going over to Europe to work, and because I haven’t experienced a European summer before,” he said.

“It’s not a huge, life-changing thing that we’re doing, but it is something I want to try,” Michael added, explaining that half of his TruFit team are based in the UK.

Michael launched TruFit, his fitness program, off the back of the following he was able to build after appearing on MAFS, while Martha has become a top fashion and beauty influencer.

They got engaged in 2021, with Michael proposing with a simple, baguette cut ring that Martha adores.

“It’s crazy to think we started our relationship on tv and many of you saw the first time we locked eyes on each other,” Michael wrote following the announcement of their engagement.

“Fast forward 3 years and so many people are still following our life journey, something we are truly grateful for.”
