in 1996, cult teen classic The Craft hit cinemas and and won over audiences as one of the few teen movies to break big.
More than 20 years later, the story that revolves around four young women finding strength through the use of witchcraft has resonated with audiences as a story about female empowerment. A film about magic ironically became one of the decades more relatable portrayals of high school.
Now it’s time to see what the cast behind the witchy classic have been up to since the release of the film.
Robin Tunney as Sarah Bailey
Playing an angsty teen in Empire Records (1995) set up the then 22-year-old to be the perfect addition to the cast of The Craft.
Since then, the 46-year-old has gone on to star most notably as Veronica Donovan in the tv show Prison Break where she was credit third after the main two characters. After leaving the show after the Season 2 premiere, she went on to star in The Mentalist and will this year star opposite Nicolas Cage in the thriller Looking Glass.
Fairuza Balk as Nancy Downs
She made her film debut as Dorothy in Return to Oz (1985). At the age of 21, she stared in Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead (1995) before taking on her role in The Craft for which she won a MTV Movie Award for Best Fight.
These days, the 44-year-old actress is currently filming the upcoming American home invasion thriller Hell is Where the Home Is.
Rachel True as Rochelle Zimmerman
The then 29-year-old actress had a handful of TV and film projects under her belt and was coming off the 1995 film Embrace of the Vampire.
Most recently, True, now 51, scored the role of 19th-century voodoo practitioner Marie Laveau in the upcoming biopic Laveau.
Neve Campbell as Bonnie Harper
Campbell was just aged 22 when she was cast in The Craft. Unbeknownst to her she would soon become the primary protagonist of the Scream franchise.
Since her days as Bonnie Harper, the 44-year-old actress has gone on to become a regular on House of Cards. She also appears in Dwayne Johnson’s action disaster film Skyscraper.
