The Avengers: Endgame teaser showed the beloved Marvel characters as they continue to recover from their Thanos-dealt defeat in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War.

As fog and shadows are shown consuming a city, a solemn voice is heard: “Some people move on, but not us.”

The bold declaration marks the beginning of the superheroes’ comeback against Thanos, played by a motion-captured Josh Brolin. Chris Evan’s Captain America is highlighted in the 30-second spot, with the team leader struggling to cope with the spontaneous disappearance of people around the globe.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man is shown hard at work alongside Nebula, played by Karen Gillan.

Although the outcome for the world was not so great in Infinity War, fans ate it up — the film grossed over $2 billion worldwide.

Avengers: Endgame opens April 26, 2019.
