When it comes to Love Island, it’s safe to say it’s all about the OG Islanders. Sure, bombshell after bombshell enters the Villa, hoping to make their mark (and find love), but fans truly love the classic contestants who have been there since day one.
That’s not to say every bombshell is easily forgotten, a rare few do make it to the end of the show and even receive some of that fan attention. Although Andy didn’t quite make the end of finals week in Love Island Australia Season 5, he was by far one of the most memorable and loved late-intruders of the season.
27-year-old Andy, who was born and raised in Seattle, had a tumultuous time on the show as he found himself in a love triangle alongside Nakia and Harmony.
As the season neared the end, the former Baseball player shocked fans and islanders when he decided to choose neither girl, leading to all three contestants getting dumped from the Villa.
Whilst he and Nakia admitted they had hooked up outside the Villa following their elimination, he re-entered the real world single and still searching for the one.
Now, a little over a month after the show finished airing, it seems Andy has a new girl in his life! And it was Love Island co-star Tyra who let the cat out of the bag.
Since leaving the Villa, the close-knit group of Love Island contestants have enjoyed meeting up and sharing snippets of their friendship online for fans.
On January 14, Tyra shared an Instagram story of herself and Kale alongside Andy and a mystery woman enjoying drinks together, alongside the caption; “Breakfast but your bf’s just wanna talk about how they could beat a wolf in a fight.”
The Love Island winner tagged her beau, Andy and dancer Gabby Lowenstein.
Fans were quick to jump to the conclusion that Gabby was Andy’s new girlfriend, especially since he also commented on her Instagram page, confirming he was in the background of one of her photos. “Pancake dates all 2024” he replied on a photo of pancakes, “ locked in ❤️,” she replied.
At this stage, neither Andy nor Gabby have confirmed or denied the rumours.
While Andy himself didn’t make a connection in the Villa, this season saw three couples take their relationship back to Australia. Kale and Tyra took out the win, while the two remaining final couples; Nate and Georgia & Zac and Lucinda are still dating.
