My Kitchen Rules is officially back for 2023, with celebrity chefs, Colin Fassindge and Manu Feildel, kick-starting their nationwide search for Australia’s best amateur culinary duo.
Speaking on the 2023 season, Manu told WHO, “I think now we’ve got a lot of love, a little bit of drama, and great food. Absolutely better food this time around.”

With the contestants’ culinary capabilities already put to the test through the first round of instant restuarants, the pressure to deliver the perfect dish has begun to rise.
While some rose to the challenge and delivered a delicious dining experience, others were not able to handle the heat, with their scores landing them at the bottom of the leaderboard.
As the contestants continue to battle for their place in the final Kitchen HQ cook-off, we look back at who has been eliminated from My Kitchen Rules 2023 so far.
Who has been eliminated from My Kitchen Rules 2023?
Coco and Pearls
During their instant restaurant, feisty friends Coco and Pearls were eager to impress the judges with their boutique menu.
Although Coco promised three perfect 10s from the judges, the duo’s dishes, unfortunately, fell flat, with Manu calling their first-ever attempt at cooking champagne pasta rosettes a fail.
Their ambitious flavours also did not impress their fellow contestants, with Marcus offering a scathing critique of their theatrical dessert.
“I think it wasn’t easy to eat. I don’t want to use the word slop, but it just tasted like one big overly sweet goop.”
After earning a combined score of 29/60 from the judges and 50/110 from their fellow contestants, Coco and Pearls found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard and were eliminated from the competition.
Patricija and Brigita
Queensland team, Patricija and Brigita divided the MKR teams and judges during their instant restaurant round in which they presented a Lithuanian menu and authentic dishes.
Despite being the ‘dark horses of the season,’ the pair finished at the bottom of the round, despite many fans predicting the team could win MKR given their tough critiques and strong attitudes.
But unfortunately, their unique menu was criticised by many MKR team members, earning them a score of just 59 – two points behind mums Amber and Mel.
Amber and Mel
As the competition heated up, four competing teams were faced with a mystery fridge challenge at the MKR Kitchen HQ.
Nick and Christian, Aaron and Chris, Claudean and Anthony, and Amber and Mel were all presented with a unique hero ingredient, with Amber and Mel cooking a family Lebanese dish with their beef ingredient.
Unfortuantly, Amber and Mel’s split yogurt sauce accompanying heir kibbeh saw them become the latest MKR team to be eliminated.
Aaron & Chris
The next challenge at the MKR Kitchen HQ saw the teams compete in a stressful dessert challenge. Unfourtabley for gatecrashing team Aaron and Chris, their chocolate fondant with pistachio crumb wasn’t enough to keep them safe from the elimination, and the team were sent home.
Claudean and Anthony
The dessert round in the MKR Kitchen HQ also saw the elimination of Claudean and Anthony who undercooked their zeppole.
The round saw Nick and Christian crowned as winners, earning a spot in the semi-finals alongside Tommy and Rach.
Tommy and Rach
The tense semi-finals saw Tommy and Rach eliminated after their entrée of Stuffed Mushrooms failed to impress the judges, with Colin suggesting they should have deep-fried their dish instead of baking it.

Sonia and Marcus
Although the team’s main course of Pork Cotoletta Tonnato with Fennel Salad was a hit with the judges, their Chocolate Hazelnut Dacquoise dessert was a miss, making Sonia and Marcus the latest team to be eliminated.
