Richie Strahan hasn’t had the best of luck on reality TV dating shows. And given his uncomfortable run on Bachelor in Paradise so far, perhaps the rope access technician had a hunch that things weren’t going to go to plan, as details of his pay check emerge.
Watch Cass break down over Richie:
The reality TV veteran – he’s starred in both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor – is said to have negotiated a get-out clause in his contract, meaning that he will be paid for a full season of BiP, regardless of whether how long he stays on the show.
‘He has learnt how it works and he negotiated a get-out clause well ahead of filming,’ a source has told New Idea.
‘Richie was the big drawcard for this year,’ the insider continued, explaining that Richie will be allowed to leave before the finale if he wishes and still be entitled to his full pay check.
A smart move for the Perth-based tradie, who isn’t having an easy ride on the show.
First he went head to head with ex Alex Nation, 27, when Channel 10 aired an ‘unedited and uncensored’ heated exchange between the pair over their previously unexplained break-up.
And now he’s having to content with a very intense Cassandra Wood.
